Amicus curiae briefs pertaining to District of Columbia v. Heller
(overview of the law put before the supreme court)

Dick Heller – a licensed special police officer for the District of Columbia. For his job, Heller carried a gun in federal office buildings, but was not allowed to have one in his home

The D.C. law stated rifles and shotguns must be unloaded and dissambled or bound by a trigger lock within your own home.(so much for self defense). It also restricted residents from owning handguns except for those registered prior to 1975.

A majority of the members of Congress signed the brief authored by Stephen P. Halbrook advising that the case be affirmed overturning the ban on handguns not otherwise restricted by Congress. Vice President Dick Cheney joined in this brief, The Republican candidate for President, Arizona Senator John McCain, also signed the brief.....................
Democratic candidate, then Illinois Senator Barack Obama, did not.

Most of our soldiers carried a 223 in Iraq. That is a pretty small round. Now our soldiers killed around a million Iraqies with them. The point is there is little to no differance in the weapons other than haveing bigger clips. Now if I am going hog hunting without dogs and just going to beat the brush. I want something short so I can swing it and plenty of rounds. The differance is the fully auto. and those aren't legal.
You can't keep crazy people from doing crazy things. You can on the other hand PUNISH THE ONES THAT DO CRAZY THINGS.
DON'T TAKE RIGHTS PUNISH PEOPLE THAT ABUSE RIGHTS. Take that sucker out and PUBLICLY HANG HIM.
I still can't get over the fact that a lot of people think it is a privilage to dirve. We pay for the road, we pay to patrol our roads to keep people that abuse there RIGHT TO DRIVE ON THEM.
This country would be so much better if they had punishment back. Right now you are guilty till proven inocent and set up on a money system and guilty you pay and get off inocent you pay and get off. They charge you, they give you a ples deal YOU HAVE TO TAKE GUILTY OR INOCENT BECAUSE IT IS MUCH CHEAPER THAN A LAWYER....................So if you did it or not it doesn't matter. It is just a money thing to suport the judge,lawyer,D.A., class's (DUI,ANGER MANAGEMENT, ECT.)
