Put the finishing touches on the coonhunting room yesterday.I want to thank Jeremy Bayless for all of the time and work that he put into my picture.It came out even better than I expected and I am really happy with it.Anyone wanting some artwork done,I highly recomend Jeremy.The detailing in his work is amazing and his prices are more than fair for the finish product.Here's a picture of mine.

And dont give me to much credit I can pick it to death and wish it was better than it is... trust me I messed it up more than you would think .

thanks I think Ol Buckeye will be fine once he decides to go! I wish I could have stayed out latter the other nite it takes him a little to get warmed up and thats when he really shines

It was good seeing and visiting with everyone this weekend.I really look foward to the get-together on Thursday night before Autumn Oaks every year.It's a great time to catch up with old friends and meet a few new ones.A very laid back atmosphere with pleny of razzing and jokes to go around.This year I tryed all night to buy a 9 year old boy's hound but we couldn't agree on a price.The lowest price I could get from D.J. for his Ike dog.......40 million dollars and he kept half ownership and all breeding rights!!!LOL.I guess it's safe to say the young man really didn't want to sale his dog

Thanks everyone for coming.I really enjoyed it and will be looking foward to doing it again next year.

Well it's about that time.......The knee is getting better every night so as of now I'm planning on going to the Fall Round-up in a few weeks.Looking foward to getting back at it with the hounds and I think I'll be ready by then hopefully.I have been hunting Image and Baby Six pretty regularly and I am definately gonna try and make it this year if everything goes as planned.Looking foward to seeing everyone there.

Well,Legend is officially headed south to North Carolina today.Craig Cooper came in Friday and stayed the weekend and picked him up.Craig seems to be really excited about his new dog and rightly so.I hope he enjoys him to the fullest,he is a nice hound for sure.

While Craig was here he did get the chance to hunt with three off of Legend and three different females.I think he was pleasently suprised with what he seen from all three.Legend is definately holding up his end in the stud pen and should be considered.

I also want to thank Mr.Jerry Woods for coming up last weekend,taking a hunt and breeding his female to Legend.Jerry seems to be a hard hunter and knows what he is looking to put into his line of dogs.Hopefully she caught and raises a nice litter for him.Direct daughter of Clear River Diamond Jim X full sister to Richie McDonald's Little Bit female.I will be returning the stud fee and raising a female if she catches.

I want to Congradulate all the Blue dogs getting through the Zones this weekend and going on to the Finals.Good Luck to all of you next weekend guys.

I think the little fella may just make something to pester these ole woodlot coons with. Very nice bawl mouth on the ground, & a locate that sounds very similar to his daddy. Even a fat bald feller like me may be able to hear him a little ways off! LOL

I think I'll take him for anther stroll tonight in one of these local woodlots by his lonesome & see if he can find a sick one.

Been a long week in Ill. and it sure is good to be home.Super Stakes seemed to go very well and I'd like to congradulate all the winners this year.Although I didn't have any fall pups to hunt,I did go out and help on the panels and getting dogs to the woods at Flora's satalite club on two different nights.Looking foward to going back in a few weeks for the Fall Round-Up in Flora Ill.This area is beautiful this time of the year,huge,flat bottoms and they have plenty of coon there.This should be a great hunt to attend.

I had been hunting Baby Six hard the last few weeks before I left and was hoping to make some noise out there but mother nature has struck again.My wife imformed me Friday over the phone that Baby Six looked a little swollen and when I got home today and checked.....Sure enough,in heat.

I have Image here,but I have recently been hunting with a little male off of the Legend X Superfly cross that has really impressed me.He has been carried to town one time last year and has a first place win on him.He has only been hunted on Friday nights all summer because of Shawn's work schedule but I picked him up today and if I can get him in any kind of shape Ringo and I might make the trip with him,we'll have to wait and see.

Ringo picked up 25 more points on the bench and a 2nd place tonight.I like what I've been seeing out of this little fella so far.He's out of shape and was pretty sore heading to the kennel when we came in.Gonna give him a break for a few days and we'll go from there.I think I could sit and listen to him tree for hours,he is a classy little treedog.Thanks Shawn for trusting me with him,I've really enjoyed him this past week.

Just made this cross last week.It's tight but I have talked about trying this for a year or so and went ahead with it.This was made for myself and the rest will be placed in the hands of men where I know they will be given a fair chance.Several shots of the old MOSQUITO CREEK HANK dog,several shots of JBS CHIEF,a shot of the ECHO stock,and BLUE BOY II in there.Hopefully she stuck cause there are a few of us looking foward to seeing what this cross will produce.
