Troy, actually I bought the dog from my dad at about 1 year old. He had a good mouth and was one heck of a treedog. Was great on a medium to hot track but pulled up short too much on a bad track. Now when I owned the buster dog the first time I sent him to Nathan Carpenters for about six months and Nathan had him doing real good and really like him. After Ricky decided to sell him I put him and Nathan together and Nathan didnt hesitate to buy him. Nathan is about as hard a hunter as I know so the dog is in great hands now. I think Nathan has had him at least 2 or 3 years now.

This hound was a Littermate brother to the Buster dog Tommy Boles had. Its confusing when you have 2 littermates named Buster, but Tommy's dog was actually named Rattler when I owned him. Whats funny is UKC made a glich on their easy entry cards one time and both dogs were carrying the same number. UKC had it right at the office but the cards were just misprinted. I am sure this happened when they changed Rattlers name to Buster as there was only one number difference being they were littermates. I will say this, those 2 hound were TREEDOGS!

I've got a 1981 blue book that has a good picture of King. You also had Blue Dog Blue II at the time, great looking hounds!

I would love to be feeding Blue II today... He was something extra.

I also had the Blue Dog Henry at that time. This held King back because the other two were so good....

I've got a pup coming from Marlin Skinner that's heavy in old Rattler, and I'm in line for a pup out of a male that is a son of Thomas' Steelebue Heck on top and mother is out of Illinois Blue Warrior from a.i. breeding (if it succesful, one breeding left). The mother is also all Vaughn.
