A moh can absolutely correct mathematical errors that came strait from mr Fred ! A plus ( + ) or a ( - ) is an intricate part of math !!

But I am a big dummy what would I know.

Some people abuse their power in the big picture we are supposed to draw people to the sport help them and teach them you get 4 inexperienced young guys on the same cast really rings True to do with today’s numbers and they go out tree coons honestly and come in and got one mistake on their card and you scratch them and throw their card in the trash because ............. you da man !!!! They won’t be back. How about showing them what they did wrong and they will be back. Some of the pro’s thrive on others mistakes and they are worshiped.

That’s my rant.

Just another example of a bad rule needing changed. I honestly do not understand ANYONE opposed to rule changes that eliminate this kind of injustice. Make our Hunts about the best dog/s winning and not about scratching a winning dog due to such outdated rules. Just because things have been done a certain way, does not make it right. In my professional career, I always tried to improve the way we done things and I hated the excuse of its just the way we have always done it. If there is a better way, then let's do it the better way. Nothing is ever good enough that it can not be improved. Dave

So yes Tar, according to definition those "specialized notations" +, -, and delete are mathematical. Without them there is just a hodgepodge of numbers with no specific meaning or a way to solve a equation.

As I have gotten older I have realized making everyone happy is impossible! But making everyone mad is a piece of cake !!

Tommy I know just about the time period it happened but mr Fred was notorious about just popping in somwhere unannounced ! When he said somthing that was law I know we got things in black and white but he always said a moh and a judge have complete authority to run an honest hunt they should be picked from men of utmost integrity and honesty ! Where we went wrong as a lot of those men of that generation have past away we wrote all the advisories and half butt corrected rules every time there was a big stink caused by those who win at all cost until now all we got is a big pile and the moh and judges really have no authority to conduct the hunt for fear of sombody calling headquarters on Monday and being made fool of because they didn’t cross that T the way they think it should have been done. So the ole boy that threw that tizzy cussed the moh and called ukc like a big cry baby gets his way. Most moh and judges know the people personally they are officiating they know their integrity ! They know if they made an honest mistake or if they are trying to hose someone! Believe me there is a lot of crooked crap going on out there way worse than a moh helping sombody fix an honest mistake.

Too hot lol ! Allen just sayen we are way more handcuffed than we were back in the day. You know and I know that there is no reason that we should have to treat good people badly just because they made a simple mistake. Todd no disrespect go look at the Wilson Oklahoma numbers and surrounding areas. What if they are the only cast there if you let the hunt director hunt I can go with them and teach them. I been working with Corey he is 32 yrs old been in 3 hunts but no way is he ready to carry a card. That is the normal down here. That’s what I mean by handcuffed.

Read the example given in the rule change proposal about the youth hunter who was given a man that is a MOH as a non-hunting judge at Autumn Oaks. The kid was scratched because the person behind the table is not given the ability to ask a question about a missing symbol. Sometimes qualified people make honest mistakes and yet officals hands are tied to rectify a situation. For some crazy reason there are a handful against giving the official the ability to fix it if they can. I understand there are times when an official can't reach a conclusion about what really happened but give them the ability to at least try. The rule change proposal does that.

IMO - It's very possible and quite easy to treat ALL people good, fairly, and adhere to the rules at the same time.

I've actually been in your neck of the woods numerous times in the past 15 years. You must have been fishing when those events were going on. It's been a few years however, and need to get back out there again.

I handle things as fairly as I can the end result is you don’t get calls on Monday saying I did differently and the check is in the mail. If all you go to is major events it paints a pretty picture everything there is well maintained usually. Sometimes bossman I got to do what I have to do at the local level when I got a square peg to go in a round hole so to speak. We should have that option without feeling bad about it. We need sombody to visit down here I think that Corey gruver kid would be a good one he seems level headed and open minded we got growing pains. You ever want to have one of those red dog hunts down here I got a state of the art free fair building 10 miles from winstar world casino and 18 holes of golf.

We live in a area that could benefit from a big UKC hunt. I would like to see change in UKC and growth in are area. We need it. We have nowhere to go unless you drive 100 miles. We have a nice facility to host a big hunt. Iam game let's get it rolling.

I was really busy back then I was skinny and traveling at warp speed. But wasent it fun geez I would give everything to see that again I still got a cast win buckle from that hunt.
