And not a good one in the bunch. LOL!

In 1965 I purchased a Vaughn bred Bluetick from him. She came in sick and she didn't have any more Vaughn blood in her then I do. LOL! Stopped payment on the money order and called Cas. He told me just keep her and forget it. Funny thing was he would call me about 0nce a week and talk. We got to be telephone friends. Oh and the dog was worthless.

I don't know anything about the dogs he sold, but I sure enjoyed the stories he wrote in Full Cry every month.

Funny thing is I don't think Cas had to sell dogs......he owned a string of grocery stores,so I was told.
Remember Supraderm salve he sold.Fixed anything from piles to ear infections

Now those names are a trip down memory lane. I always wondered how they stayed in business and yes I was tempted to get a dog from some of them but never did.

Fred Moran if you didn’t like the dog you could bring him back and give him 500 more and get one that was worse. Or the best was when he would cAll and say how much do you want for your dog And when you told him he would tell you a guy is going to call you tell him 500 more than you want you give me the five hundred and you keep the rest

Cas owned radio stations and a couple of TV station. He actually was the one who gave Dolly Parton her start.

As far as a local guy, when I lived in SW OK, my uncle Calvin Hancock probably dealt more dogs than anyone in the area. He had everything from very good dogs to worthless. I used to watch him at a trade day and he seldom said what a dog had done but what he thought the dog could do. Big difference.

I cant imagine this post will stay up for long cause someone will get but hurt! But around here a few that comes to mind would be gene horney, Joe Bond, pat Robinson, Jim Kennard and several others. Im not saying anything negative about these top 4 because they were good men even though they pedaled dogs. Today's times though I have to give credit to Andy Cowan, I've seen several people post about him yet people still keep buying

Joe Levan

Never bought a dog from Jim Kennard but sure can't say anything negative about him. Several years ago I was trying to locate a dog that I thought he might have a handle on and he went well out of his way to help me. I sure appreciated it.

Say what you want about ol Cass Walker mention his name in Knoxville and everyone knew him and most liked him. Only ones that didn't were the ones that had bought a dog from him. Lol
