Gamin has announced 7 new states to their HuntView Maps series. These now include Arkansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania, East Texas, West Texas, and Wisconsin (sold individually). These maps come on a preloaded sd card with full TOPO 24k mapping, landowner information and exclusive BirdsEye Satellite Imagery. The public land information included BLM township, range and section information, USGS quad location, Army Corps, Bureau of Reclamation, DoD, forests, grasslands, national wildlife refuges, national and state parks and more. These cards will work in the Alpha 100, Astro 320, and Astro 220.
For $79.99 retail you get Birdseye Satelitte imagery, detailed 24k mapping, boundaries, public land info and more.

the mi ones are out I have mine. got mine from lion country supply. my buddy got his direct from garmin and got his in 3 or 4 days. I like mine but the Birdseye is not as define as the one you can down load.
.
That is what concerned me Dave. When I download it I only use the high resolution and I wasn't sure what the cards were.

Can't answer how much because it depends on the major city size. That is what takes up space. There is not an easy answer. You just have to download it and see. I downloaded NY a couple years ago for a friend took many days and I gave up on high resolution and went to medium and quality was poor

What's the biggest card you suggest Bruce without slowing my alpha down. And do you just put one state per card for your use and just switch as needed?

How about hunt on X maps? Was doing some research and they came up on a review against the garmin card looks like it has a lot more options as well. Anybody heard of them? Thanks for the help.

Im curious as to how accurate the maps are as far as boundary lines. Looks like the maps identify individual land parcels along with landowners names and where I hunt, some connecting properties have no fencing, so it would be real handy to be able to tell when I was crossing onto another property. Anyone have any experiences with this?
That's what I was thinking. If I was reading it right garmin shows its private land but onX maps shows its private and who the land owner is and from reviews it sounds like the hunt on X maps are much more accurate just never heard of them till I started lookin around

I have had the on x hunt map for 6 months and really liked it. It has property lines and land owner info and topo. Where I live it is very flat so topo maps aren't very useful but satellite imagery would be nice. I'll probably get the garmin hunt view as long as people seem happy with it.
Is the on X hunt map Birdseye? What don't you like about it

I've used the on x maps for about 3 years. I use it on my phone it's $30 a year it has public and private land boundarys. It shows ownership of private property you can see how the property boundaries run and you can see the size of the property's. The downside of the subscription form of on x is if you have no internet service. So while you're at home you download the area you normally hunt and save it too an offline cache. When you have now internet service on you're phone you just select the offline cach that you have previously downloaded. You can also buy s.d card of stated for between $60-$80 depending on the state and just install in you're garmin.

The prices must have went up had Montana for $79 got new Mexico for $79
Does anyone download and sell the cards cheaper? I would like them without all of the "clutter". All I care about are fields, woods, creeks, houses, trails and roads. I don't care who owns the property or boundaries. Also can you X out the big cities so that you use less memory?
If you or a friend buys the preloaded card, can you copy the memory/info over onto another sd card?
If you have the birdseye, do you still need the topo or can you tell/see hills, ridges and hollers on the birdseye?
.
on the x hunt maps what states have birdseye available?
