Some People!!!

Tracey and I took Hoss and her three dogs to a vet clinic today at Pet Co. Took all the dogs inside filled out the paper work, went back outside got the dogs their shots put the dogs back in the dog box and then went back inside to pay for them. While waiting on Tracey to pay for her shots I notice a Stafford County Animal County truck parked beside my truck with the Officer talking to some lady. He then comes into the store and walks over to one of the clerks and says something to them, when he turns around I ask him if he's looking for me? He said yes, lets walk outside. He tells me some women called because I had my dogs in the back of my truck in a dog box. He then tells me there is NOTHING I can really do about it as they are not locked inside of the truck. He tells me that he was surprised how cool it was inside of the box. the temp's outside was around 78 inside the box where Hoss was is 82 the side where Tracey's dogs were was 91, he then showed me it was around 109 inside my truck. He started to ask me to do him a favor when I stopped him and told him we were leaving and going home. The officer was just doing his job and was really nice about it all. It's a shame some DO GOODER had to waste his time for a call like this. They should make her pain a small fine for wasting his time! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IF ANYONE SEE'S A VIDEO OF A RED F150 FLOATING AROUND FACEBOOK TALKING ABOUT ANIMAL ABUSE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! This women was sitting in her car videoing it when we walked back out to the truck....

I have my dog box chained in my truck and I had locked the doors on it. They would have had a hard time getting any of those dogs since I had broken no laws.

That's a shame what happened to him.

This doesn't surprise me at all...I hate sick, stupid people.
We have several horse farms and we board to a few lady's that take "rescue" horses and nurse them back to health. Once restored they are trained up a little and sold. There is a video taper sitting out on the side of the state road at least 3 days a week filming the horses that have ribs showing.
Even after being told that the horses are under a vets care and recovering here they still video the horses and report them. Funny thing...they are almost always in a mini van.
There is something mentally wrong with these people...they even try to interfere with the very people that are helping the animals.
These gals probably acquire, restore to health, train up and sell or "rehome" 12-15 horses a year on their own dime.... but it's still a problem!!!!!!

I stopped at a Cracker barrel to eat while on a trip with my hounds and tied them out to the back bumper in the shade. When I came back out to leave there was an Animal Control Officer sitting there. He said, "Those are some mighty fine looking hounds you have there. Some lady called to report them for being malnourished and I had to come and check them." After he apologized for "bothering" me, I went on my way.

True Story! I was hunting in Danville Indiana last year and we had an excellent hunt. Skinned a few coon on the tailgate and forgot to spray it off! Bout 4am that morning a knock came on the Hotel door and my buddy got up and answered it. It was a Cop asking to talk to me. My heart just about stopped thinking something had happened back home or someone had died or something. Anyways he asked me to step out in the hall. I did and he said "You want to tell me about the Blood Hounds in the back of your truck and the blood on the bumper" I then realized no one had died and someone must have called in a complaint from the motel parking lot. Honestly if I would have made a sudden move he would have shot me! Lol After explaining to him they were coondogs and yata yata he accepted my story and left. I dont think I have ever laughed so hard in my life as my buddy and me came up with different stories we "could" have told him! The best being telling him we were Bounty Hunters from Kentucky and we were up here looking for an SOB that looked just like Him! Now let me see YOUR ID!!!LOL Ill never forget it!

Incredible...!!!!!!!!!11.

It is hard to keep your christianity when this kind of mess goes on.
Had a hunting partner years ago who lived in memphis in an older subdivision. He had lived there for years. He was going to dip his dogs in a 55 gal drum that he kept dip in. Well this particular day the dog decided he wasnt going in the barrel. He kept spreading his legs and my hunting partner was short on patience...waaaaaaaaay short on patience if you know what I mean. He went all rambo on that dog and got him dunked. Well his neighbor behnd him beyond the chainlink fence hollered and said "Quit abusing that dog or I am going to call the animal cruelty folks." My hunting buddy and I use that term buddy loosely hollered back...."Go ahead and call them and Ill drag your A** over here and Ill put you in this barrel"!!!

Needless to say, nobody showed up at his house.

We are out of control in this country with political correctness.

It always amazes me the trouble that some people go to to make idiots out of themselves. I was dumping the trash at the local dump site about a year ago and the woman working at the site said that my dog box looked "hot". I wasn't even talking to her. She just came up with that rather than a "hello" or "what kind of box is that" or anything normal to start a conversation. I explained to her that it actually didn't get that hot because the aluminum reflected the heat and it was insulated, had vents etc.. She just got a blank look on her face and didn't say another word?? After i pulled off i thought i should've opened the box and let her feel how "hot" it was inside or better yet maybe I should've told her it was none of her business!

It must be following you around. I'd be about half afraid to pack you huntin with me! Between the trouble you'd start and talkin funny, you may get us in REAL trouble here!

Don't worry, I'm always up for a lil trouble! LOL

HOBO - who did you expect to find outside of PetCo??? I think that's where they congregate!

The last time I was there, they asked me to donate to the HSUS, and I've never been back.

I don't shop at Pet Co, they were just having a rabies clinic so I took Hoss. It's cheaper than going to the vets office and paying the office visit fees.

I had a friend go out west elk hunting, on way home I think he was somewhere in Illinois and stopped for gas. He noticed these young folks coming out of store staring at him, said they drove by kinda slow when this old gal leaned out the window and screamed "murderers" he told them they were number one as they drove off.

I keep my dog box bolted on to my pick up and doors locked when I stop. came out of resturaunt one time and someone had put a bowl of water in my box.

My buddy family own a NHRA drag racing track. He lives there and takes care of the grounds. He had his old blue tick tied under a big shade tree. This woman from Chicago was horrified that he would have his dog tied up like that. He tried to explain that a hunting dog in these areas benifit from being tied out cause if they get caught in a snare trap they will not struggle just lay there until you get to them out. She couldn't accept that so she asked if she could buy him a kennel. Sure enough the following week there was a nice big kennel delivered to his house. I told him guess you can't beat that! Lol

I work as a customer service rep and I talk on the phone daily to people from all over the whole country. Some of the funniest ones are from the Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota area ! I like to hear them say "about" " Minnesota" and stuff like that. LOL

I understand and assumed that was the case. I remember when the local grain elevator would have pet "dipping" days, and you get your dog a free flea and tick bath. Of course everyone was welcome, and nobody judged anyone. It seems that these days, the folks screaming the most for "tolerance" have the least of it!

Just saw a story on Fox news

Where a woman ran into a store and left her little house dog in the car in a shaded parking lot with a cup of water in the cup holder thing for him and while she was inside a nosey dude knocked her side widow of her new mustang convertable in to "rescue" the dog. he was charge with criminal trespassing and she was cited for cruelty to animals and can face up to 20 hours of community service.
I am just about sick of this country right now.
