Re: Concealed carry?

Glock model 19 Gen 3. 9mm. Blackhawk holsters

Posted by JmillerFL on 01-25-2015 03:07 PM:

Ruger sr40c. Remember you get what you pay for and if you don't make it a habit to carry it won't do you any good. I would get a 9mm or bigger. And practice, practice, practice. Not just punching hole in paper targets but get some real training.

I have 3, a Kahr PM45, a Kimber Solo and a Ruger LCP. All 3 are very nice guns. Of the three I like the Solo, but the LCP is so small and carries so easily. I have the PM45 for carry at my cabin...there is some huge bears there that I would not like to get too close to in the off season.

taurus/s&w

Taurus .40 and or S&W 9mm.

Love them both but carry the .40 more because of its smaller and comfortable size.

Glock 19 9mm with serpa holster. Loaded with Winchester 147 grain ranger t's is big medicine for bad guys. Out the door from Keeper's in the cities for 398.00 gen4. I carry a hk 40 at work and the trigger is atrocious compared to the Glock and cost twice as much............ go figure! Glocks ain't pretty, but they go bang everytime.

Posted by john Duemmer on 01-26-2015 02:48 AM:

Ima big fan of the 1911s in 45acp. they shoot every time and will sure take a bad guy off his feet. Not a fan of nines, ask an emergence room doctor in Detroit or Chicago how many thugs WALK in sportin a couple 9mm. holes, if ya gotta shoot you dont want em walkin away.

I daily carry a Taurus 380 in a Sneaky Pete holster. I used to carry it in my pocket but it wore holes in my pockets and was slow to get out. When I go hunting I carry an old 38 revolver w/6inch barrel. I have a near perfect 70 series colt 1911 but I'm afraid if I carried it someone would be tempted to hit me in the head and take my gun.

No disrespect Mr.Sizemore but you probably posted on the wrong thread. I asked to get a general perception on what worked for folks..if you dont want anyone to know you probably shouldn't have told us.
