Cabin Hunt with VA Cartel

March 7th and 8th is the cabin hunt in the mountains of VA...the cabin is located in Craig County Va and sets next to thousands of acres of National Forest...I plan on getting over there around lunch on Friday to get the cabin open if anyone wants to come then...I live off of interstate 81 in Christiansburg if you want to meet me and follow me over, its located in the middle of no where with absolutely no cell phone service once you go over the last mountain and drop down to the cabin...anyone is invited to come...most all of the VA Cartel will be there along with a few of our friends

Directions from I-81 exit off of 118 and go west on Route 460 for ~14.8 miles (you will go by VA TECH on the right)

Take a right on Blue Grass Trail VA/42 and go ~9.8 miles

Take a left on Happy Hollow Road VA/658 and go ~4.2 miles up and over Johns Creek Mountain ( you just lost cell phone signal)

Take a right on Johns Creek Road for ~.6 miles and take a left on Dick Creeks Road (you will go by Forks of Johns Creek Church and the small Fire House) for ~.5 miles

Take a left on Old Waiteville Road for ~.3 miles take a left on South Resevior Road (this is a small dirt drive)

Come up to red gate the key will be on hinged side under a rock in a container (please close and lock gate behind you and place key back) We have to keep gate close as there are about four other cabins that have access to the road and its a rule they have
Cabin is the last one on the road maybe around a quarter mile from gate

If you are coming lets us know so we can be looking for you...there are a few beds with a first come first serve (the KING has already called dibs on one of the beds) some bring a cot and sleeping bag, we have a bathroom and shower in the cabin along with a full kicthen

Only 9 more days, I can't wait.......It will be great to hunt with all of those top Redbones: Gr Nt Chick, Nt Ch Wendy, Gr Nt Moose, Gr Nt Haze, Nt Ch Frog, Dozer, Nt Ch Autumn, Gr Nt Willow. And all of those up and coming pups, Wilma, Link, Addy, Mr Wilson, Tuff, Stella, Beamer, Rachel and who knows what else. We will eat, drink and be merry. We will have Pastor Mike to watch over all of the adults and Principal Jason to keep all of the "kids" in line.

Maybe UKC will send Paul Frederick and one of the picture girls down to cover the Cabin Hunt for the Pleasure hunting edition of the Bloodlines.

The fearless leader will be there remember Linkous I have the bed in the small room with you that has my name on it. I will have my little buddy nick with he is turning into quite a Coon hunter. Nick will be hunting Addy that weekend we will have a blast.

Man I am getting excited. I hope that I will be able to get there in time. I will be in PA all this week and they are calling for snow. I am hoping to get up there late Friday night but we will see. Hope to see alot of reds up there.

Hey! Count me in. This sounds like too good of a time to miss. I'll bring Zea (Haze daughter) to put her in school. With all that high powered ancestory she has a lot to learn. I am really looking forward to this weekend. It is going to take me all week to get ready. Y'all just take it easy on this flatlander.

Deserts my wife just bought a new stove with 2 ovens no problem now that we have a double thumper

I just checked and "my" weatherman says that this weekend will be beautiful, partly cloudy to sunny with highs of 56-57 and lows of 34-35. I am getting excited now.

Things are starting to come together fellows. Just got off the phone with Dennis and thanks to him oysters will be part of the menu on Saturday. Weather man is saying we may hit 60 Saturday with 30's as lows both nights. We got a couple of inches of snow over at the cabin today but suppose to be in the 40's and 50's rest of the week. Should be a blast...the count down has begun. Buck the green egg will be something special it's so hot that it is smoking hot. You will have to have you some of the green egg

I had a BIG GREEN EGG that was smoking hot that some one took it from my back porch. It was a few years back it would be old now. I can not wait till Friday and Saturday.

got the green egg ready, got Richard's bench ready, got everything charging up, JC picking up some pork loins tonight, cooking up a pan of lasgna tonight, Dennis bringing up some seafood, we will be set....Went on a little tune up hunt last night with good results, maybe a little wet tomorrow morning but man am I looking forward to the weekend
