Lost my nice young dog yesterday!

Came in from a class for work he fine. Go to feed at 4:30 he's laying there dead. Just turned 3. Like he just went off to sleep and never got up. First all grand I ever had. Off harry semen..While he was already started when I got him bout 10 months ago. We had become a team. He suited me to a tee pretty much. He was just now hunt ready. When he parked it. You could load the gun. Most accurate Id ever had. I hate he's gone. Now I don't have anything but my 11.5 yr old Rat female and coon seasons in full force. Guess I'll miss most of it. He's actually the first one that suited me in 10.5 yrs since I got the rat female. Hope it don't take that much longer to find something

Man that sucks. Like someone else said, it's never the worthless dogs, only the good ones. Same with raising pups. Mutt bitch can have 20 and raise 'em all. All Grand GRNITE coondog female has 3 and loses 2 of 'em.

Some things are just not meant to be and he was one of em. Im getting over it guys THANKS!! Want be long and I'll have some kinda tri colored pup Although I've been thinking english to. Mafia it didn't storm any. He died within a 2 period. Sheep, I can't afford that autopsy stuff. I don't think foul play was involved or it was his food or anything. I think he just died.

Michael I know how you feel. I lost one to a hunting accident 4 yrs ago. I may have a lead on a 2.5 yr old walker male if you'd be interested. He ain't perfect but he'll tree coon. I talked to the guy this morning and asked if he was still thinking about selling him. He said he would kick it around and get back with me.

Dawg there is a guy by the name of Jerry Sullivan got a 12 or 13 month old female priced right and not spoiled ,check her out ,good looking little female . If I had a place here to keep her ,she would be mine . Oh yeah shes on the walkers for sale forum .

SO SORRY!

We hate to hear you lost a GOOD dog that pleased you so. As for not losing the worthless potlickers... first thing this morn, after the redsox won the world series... our BnT got up from the sofa(he had been "under the weather" and at the vet for bloodwork earlier... and collapsed...we carried him to the emrg. vet where he was put to sleep...internal bleed probably from a tumor... He WANTED to be a coondawg... not that he had a chance here but he was an akc showdog bred BnT.... a REAL potlicker and he didn't really even do that well...never a fussier hound was born...lol.... We're all sad here but not too sad to share YOUR BIGGER loss...

had same thing happen to me about 3 years ago . came home from work my hounds heard me coming in my mechanic service truck and would bark cause I always feed them right away . this particular day, I didn't go out for probably an hour or so but when I did my 4 year old female was in her house laying dead . she was still warm when I went out . don't know what happened , but earlier in the month I lost her daddy to old age and had two liters of pups outa him , when lady died I didn't hunt for 8 months it bothered me that bad , felt like I lost that line of dogs I had hunted for 10 years cause snap was dead and lady too . its hard to find replacements when one suites you well . good luck , know were your coming from .

I do know where some nice bred walker puppies are @ one group out of Bone Collector & a GRNITECH female that's also a silver champ just weaned (Jason Obrein's Sally female look her up on other kc MO standings I bought one of these myself...then I have 2 male Reezen pups of David Griners
running loose @ my place right now they are out of his Envy female . I don't know what her ped. is like but everything he owns is an all grand. I think these male pups are probably right @ 5 months old. Also Greg Minkler (Kansas Dancer) has a litter out of my Mafia dog & his dual gr female Maxine (these are all grand ped pups) I don't know if he has any left but may...his Baby Doll female made it to the semi-final round in the other world hunt this week ,double cast winner Monday night...she is out of my Mafia dog. If you need any help locating a pup we train young pups here so I usually know where some nice litters are .

ole buddy sorry for your loss of your dog it never fails when you get a good 1 something always happens to them way before thier time ive only had 3 of that kind in my 49 yrs of hunting hounds and still think about them everyday when i look out at the pens hope you find another good 1 when you decide to get another dog take care
