Tree Rappin' Slim Shady??

just looking for a little information on this hound. I remember seeing him on the board a few years ago and haven't seen a thread for him in a while. Can anybody tell me where he is located, who owns him, and his pedigree?? Thanks y'all.

Anyone hunting pups out of Shady?? How old are they?? what's their breeding on the bottom side?? I'm fairly sure Shady is out of Pounder. Not sure of his bottom side.

I was doing somethinking about what to impliment into my own stock of hound and remembered Slim. I'd like to back a bitch up to him in the near future. I think he would cross well on some of the stuff we have around here. I think the breed as a whole needs a little more "heads up" type hound.

I believe Zach goes by "walkerdog740" on this message board. I am pretty sure he has a female of Shady & Little Kim. I have never hunted with her but heard she was a very nice female. I don't know Zach well, but the times I have been around him he seemed like a super nice young man & a straight shooter.

I got to spectate on a cast with ole Shady in it on Friday night at 2010 Bluetick Days. He has a well above average mouth, would sure go hunting, & was a stay put accurate tree dog that could get on the front end of one & didn't mind getting to himself. I know you can't judge a dog in one night, but from what I saw that night he sure made a very good impression on me.

Next time we go north go with us and hunt with Roy's and Timmy Clifton and Smoke. He is what you are looking for. Not going to say much just encourage you to take the trip and see for yourself.

The good thing about the female pup you are getting is that both dam and sire are nose up hounds. Roy says Toby reminds him of a youg Smoke. We cut Smoke and Toby together at the bunkhouse hunt and they split 50 yds apart within 5 min and both had a coon. Roy and Timmy know what a coondog is and Roy has hunted with Toby at least three times. He can tell you about Smoke and Toby. Give Roy a call sometime. I have his number.

I would also take a hunt with Paul and Astro. Paul knows all these hounds first hand also. It's all about what you like.i would like to go up there again anyway. I would also like them to see Brummy go. Maybe we can put it together. Lance

What bitch do you have in mind to breed to him? I like the idea of possibly breeding YoHo to him if she finishes into the type hound we feel like she will.

Clyde,I don't know the breeding on him but I've hunted with him and a few pups off of him.....Pretty nice dogs.I liked Shady from the first time I hunted with him and my buddy Zack has a very nice female off of him!!

I did some research and found out his mama went back to a dog named southern knight. Yes, YoHo could be a possibility!

If I'm not mistaken Southern Knight was Jet bred.....can't remember exactly how though.

The original poster of this thread wrote he was just looking for a little info on Slim Shady period. Now maybe I think different, but to me that means if I know anything about this particular hound, I should speak up, but it sure doesn't mean I should degrade him especially if I have never saw him go by writing this other dog "is what you really want"..........REALLY? Pretty sure he wanted info on Slim Shady. Now about Shady, he is a dog that has caught my attention for years also. Seems to have been a pretty consistant cast winner for several years, just a break away from taking a major hunt title. I "hear" he is a get in the timber, tight on the ground, get treed with a coon type dog usually split away from the pack. Been meaning to see him go myself and Eric has invited me to see him go, I've just never made it happen yet. I'm pretty sure he has nothing to hide and would be happy to show him in the woods for anyone interested.

If memory serves me correct, Shady's mother was off Southern Knight & a Levi bitch. Also, if memory serves me correct, Southern Knight did quite a bit of winning in PKC in the late 90's. Ole Levi sure did his share of winning in the late 90's as well at numerous major events.
