just a question but y so far north seems to me more towards the middle of the state would be fare since its a youth state hunt it cuts alot of people out including my nephew just a thought any chance you could move it a little south towards the center?

Jackie does a fabulous job with these events, usually with little help. I'm sure she was doing her best trying to get a great club for this event. I'd say its a little late now to try to move the event, maybe you & your nephew can find a fellow hunter that is going and yall can go together, sometimes that's more fun anyways!

It has been held at Jeromesville and New Philadelphia, OH in the middle of the state, so this year it was requested to be held in the northern part.
Next year it has been promised to New Philly again, but if your club is a member and wants to host it one year, we will check it out. I can tell you Bengie the club president at Middlefield is doing a FANTASTIC job getting guides, judges and and alot of raffle items for the youth.
Jackie
glad to see it back in this neck of the woods.... hoping to get my cousin involved this year

The Geauga County Coon Hunters Assoc. is proud and honored to be hosting this event for the kids this year. I have sent e-mails all over the country for companies, vendors, and people to help out with donations for the kids raffle, as well as stoping in local stores and shops, and have been getting good responses. I have also contacted other hunters and coon clubs in the area, Portage County Coon Hunters Assoc. (Yale), and Ashtabula County Coon Hunters Assoc. (Jefferson) to help with guiding, and judging the cast. We are hoping to have a great event for the kids, and look forward to seeing everyone there.
If you live local in this area and would like to help out with this event for the kids in any way, please feel free to give me a call. 330-507-3226 Bengie.
The GPS address for the club is:
17131 Peters Road, Middlefield, Ohio.
REMBER.... The kids are the future of this sport that we all love and enjoy so much.

Blake, come up and hunt. I am sure we will have plenty of guides and judges. I know about the miles. It will take me about 1/2 drive longer for me to get there and back home. We just want to move it around. Remember Youth Nationals is at the Holmesville Club this year.
If any club would like to host it let us know. We will have to get with UKC and made sure there would be no conflicts with other UKC hunts, but we will gladly work on it.
Jackie

Great, we will see you there. The raffle items are starting to come in for the youth. Can't wait. Love the youth events.

raffle
We have talked with Benjie about donating Victor Dog Food. What are good items to donate for the kids raffle?
Thanks so much. Whatever you want to donate is great. We have had footballs, basketballs, duffle bags, fishing poles, shirts, etc. The youth like them all. It is great to see the look in their eyes when their number is called.
I will see you there.
Jackie
