First Bluetick To Win The World Hunt?

My dad and I talk about this all the time, since we're blue tickers.
We always talk about how much people would pay to have the first blue tick to win the world hunt. My dad thinks people would pay at least $75,000 for it.
What do you guys think?
How much would you pay to own the first blue tick to win the world hunt?

Divide your number by 3 to 4 and you would have a more realistic number. My observation has been that the Bluetick breed is lacking in followers with deep pockets willing to spend it on their dogs.

That may be true for some people.
I've heard of people spending way too much on a dog.
But either way, if I owned the first bluetick to win the world hunt, I'm sure I would sell it to the highest bidder.

Would it make a difference if it was male,or female?

Posted by big m.d. on 01-12-2013 09:13 PM:

I think a male would be worth a lot more in the long run

It won't matter male or female,I think the pups will have to be given away,Bluetick people don't like winners!

truth

im going with mike and jesse on this one when you have a hard time sellling pups out of some of the very best dogs in the breed for 250 yet a 100 dollar low quality dog goes fast. it says somthing. and for jesse i do agree people are so hung up on style or mouth or buddies bloodline. or tradition it controles there choices. the walker boys dont care if it yips yaps or bites you they want a winner and there dogs have evolved to dogs that you might not want to hunt but will win.

I think you are a little low if a blue dog were to win the UKC world the owner would get $1500 a breeding and have those bluetickers lined up for miles prouablly would book 100 females first week they could not draw seeman fast enough the owner would be like Elvis P , he would be there king He could not even go to the grocery store because someone would want his autograph , he could also write a book on how he trained ole blue and make another million, set up at big hunts and charge $150 to get your pic tacken by a life size poster of the dog and owner that looked real etc , roflmao

price

if a dog won the world the ods are he would be somthing the blue breed would not acept. mouth for exampl if he was a chop mouth dog he would be condimed if he wasent out of a popular line he would be condimed. ect.i koow what jesse is talking about i know of 2 litters out of world hunt finalst that some of the pups got given away. people condimed the females and said they were crazey. well its hard to win a race with a family sedan. piazon is a prime exampel he has placed very high in the world twice and hass proven himself as a stud dog but you dont se people beating the door down to breed to him. i gaurentee there are dogs that havent won crap but the buudy system has them way more pups on the ground.thats why i dont think he would bring a huge price and that was the question.

it sure is nice 2 dream. for many of us thats all it may ever b. someday it will happen there will b a world champion. the price is going 2 depend on many factors. male, female, breeding, other winnings, owner, buyer. end result it can b worth alot more than 75,000 or alot less. goodluck

Well, I'm not a Bluetick guy and don't own one at all but they may fly this year, lol. I've been hunting with one of the nicest hounds anywhere around here pretty regularly lately, and Blue or not she is tough as hell and will be making a run at the World this year. I'd sure hate to have to dodge pig crap from the sky, but I wish him all the luck just the same.

That's what I've always saw to BUT these newer younger breeders ain't the same. Id say one will win it before to long now. Course I don't know about the money value part. How many other world champs have really made a name for themselves in the breeding pen after winning it? Any color.

I have been listening to bluetickers complain for years about how those dogs operate that are winners and how they wouldnt feed one of those slick treeing babbling idiots. If the breed does produce a winner theres gonna be alot of hypocrits lined up to get some of that bad blood.

Davis's White River Salin Sadie placed 3rd in the ukc world hunt and had a 20 person waiting list for her pups so i do think us bluetickers knom where it at! Just becouse a dog wins it still take abit more to satify us Mouth, hunt and the meat!
