Trying to make a list of all the bawl mouth track dogs and chop mouth tree dogs. That are top studs out there!!

John - i have herd some reds throw a high pitch squeel or squall - & throw in a chop now & then depending on a hot or cold track
--guys that is not a ball mouth on track
dog -- at least not in my book --
there are some nice booming ball mouth dogs out there, that i beleve john is talking
about -& also are the sire & dam that way?

Not a big name stud dog

but Griz is bawl on track with one or two big locates. If it is a cold tree, he will bawl and chop on tree, but if its a good sure one, it is pretty much machine gun chops. This summer in the heat, he switched over to bawl on tree, but when the weather got cooler, he went back to a rapid chop. When he was up at Tom's, Tom said that he reminded him of the old Rocky dog, which would have been his great grandfather.

Not sure of the top stud thingy......but.......since Haze is putting out some nice pups...here it goes.

Haze is complete bawl on track. He never chopped on a track that I can remember. Didn't matter if it was a hot track or a cold track, when he opens, it's with his bawl.

When he trees, it's based on the type of track. A cold track, he would chop and throw in a very short bawl/chop. When he was on a good moving track that he was pushing, he would roll over to a steady chop.

That pretty much sums it up.

When I hunted with Doc Mitchells Hard Rock . He had a big bawl on track and chop on tree. I think he's that way all the time.

Jeb's got a big bawl mouth on track with huge dying bawl locates when he hits a tree and steady chop on tree. He really seems to be passing that great locate to his pups too.
He has'nt really got the chance to prove to be a top stud, but does seem to be reproducing well so far.

Red has a big bawl mouth on track, usually comes into the tree with 2 or 3 locates and then rolls over to a steady chop on the tree. If he comes in and is not sure he will locate a few extra times, but when he starts chopping hard he is there to stay!

It is interesting to see the different hounds and their characteristics!

The more information we have about each stud dog, the more we should be breeding for the characteristics we want!!

Don't know as I ever heard, but I would put a good wager he does, as he is a littermate to my Griz and both parents were pretty much that way. They are sons of Rabble Rouser and Thomas' Midnight music, which was Big G Farms bred.

Deuce was bred to a half sister. She is also bawl on track and chop on tree. All the pups are the same bawl on track and chop on tree.
A few of the pups from the Deuce X Tina cross are bawl and chop on track but they are all CHOP on tree. all of these pups I have heard have a very good locate.
I hope to get a video of a young dog we call Ace he is off Deuce X Tina. He is one of the loudest dogs I have ever heard.

Rush is a grandson of T- Top Rabble Rouser . On a good track or most feed tracks he is bawl on track tripple chop locate and every breath chop on tree . On a tough track you will hear the tripple chop quite often while he is lining out the track but always steady chop on tree .

Grand Night Boone

Boone is Hazes Grand Night son. The way that Rocky and Haze is described it sounds almost identical to Boone. He has a distinct bawl on track and chop on tree. He is very easy to call most of the time unless he is not sure of the tree. He will locate a little more then chop. He is very loud and will drain the quieter dogs outs. I guess this must be a strong T-Top trait.

Moonlight Aftershock has a loud squall/bawl on most tracks but will squall and chop on a hot track. He has a long dying squall/bawl locate and flips it over to a hard steady chop on the tree. He usually sits or stands at the base of a tree...especially with other dogs. His tree style is great for competition hunting and training pups because he will let the dogs who want to tree right where the coon went up have that spot if they want it and he will stand back and still spit em out harder than most dogs.
Billy the Kid had a loud screaming squall on track with several dying squall/bawl locates before flipping it over to a hard loud ringing chop on the tree. He had a locate you could pick out of the pack and put on the card know it was all over.....even if the cast was walking or talking.

Yes he is. I have been running a few of the pups with him this kill season. He is hard going and has a great disposition and tree style that is perfect to hunt with ups and young dogs.
We also have plenty of semen stored on him at Nevergone.
