agree with you on that same as thickcoon dogs brought to the south I've only hunted in thick coons a handful of times me personally I prefer wild coons I do hunt buckets but I don't want just a bucket dog people say he can track he is worken that old feeder track but when they go to wild coon no bucket country the dog looks like crap

I'm plannen to make a trip down to Lowndes alabama to.do some meat hunting I wouldn't call it thick but it hold a good number of coons I use to live there until I moved back to my old house because my welding job was closer it was a very good training spot also good coons for a pup plus it had a lot of hogs and armidilos deer etc to break them off of idc how tough a dog is a hog will kill them look at wipeout hillbilly got killed in Ozark alabama from a hog idk if he was running a hog but the night he got killed it was bright I've seen broke dogs run on eye sight during bright nights. In Ohio do yall have thick coons or thin? Or is it like it is around here some places are thin some or thick?

juross, coon going to be worth that much to be knocking that many out? I know i have some places to hunt the owners want all of them killed, but it just don't seem like the thing to do. Too each his own i guess, i remember about 10 years ago i killed 67 in the first 3 and half nights, like to killed me packing all them darn things out. I guess with age my way of thinking has changed, hope you have alot of time putting them ole greasy things up, not meant to get your gander up, have fun and be safe!

The way I see it is, action speaks louder than words. A good stud dog that is a sho enuf coon dog or just a coon dog that was or is being advertised a lot, i'm sure the owner wouldn't mind anybody coming and hunting with his dog. I'm not going to down grade anybodies dog because most of the time it's the handler's fault more than the dog's but also a dog will be a dog. Dog's have bad nights just like us at work or whatever. I've tried out several hounds that I wish i'd went ahead and bought but that's how it is. Anyways, there is to much pride in the coon hunting world and we're all guilty of it from time to time. I just stick to the bloodline I know and like and I haven't had much trouble going to the house angry after any kind of hunt. LOL it took me a long time to find it though!
