Any Interest In A High Quality But Inexpensive Deer Hunt In Alabama?

THE GORDO HIGH SCHOOL BAND BOOSTERS IS HOLDING A FUNDRAISING DEER HUNT ON DEC.7-8,2012. WE WILL HAVE LUNCH ON FRIDAY, HUNT FRIDAY AFTERNOON, SATURDAY MORNING, AND SATURDAY AFTERNOON, PROVIDE ALL YOUR MEALS , LODGING FOR 2 NIGHTS AND PROVIDE AN OPPURTUNITY FOR HOPEFULLY A TROPHY DEER ALL FOR THE PRICE OF $500. MOST OTHER SCHOOLS THAT DO THIS IN OUR AREA CHARGE 850 TO 1000 DOLLARS AND THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THEY HUNT ON SUNDAY MORNING. I PROMISE YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR TIME AND HELP SUPPORT OUR BAND AT THE SAME TIME. IF I WAS NOT IN CHARGE OF THE HUNT I WOULD TRY TO SQEEZE A COON HUNT IN BUT PROBABLY CAN'T THAT PARTICULAR WEEKEND. IF YOU HAVE INTEREST RESPOND BACK OR CALL ME AT 205-399-0590 AND I WILL GIVE YOU FURTHER DETAILS. THANKS AGAIN, TERRY TURNER

hunt will be in gordo,al which is in Pickens County. Gordo is in west central Alabama 20 miles west of Tuscaloosa, which is near the tombigbee river and the sipsey river. we are in the process of putting together a flyer with pictures of some deer that were taken on some of this property. for those interested if i could get a mailing address i could send the info to you with a registration form along with the flyer. appreciate all the responses. i cant seem to shame gayle flowers into coming down to coonhunt with me maybe he could chase some deer with us!

This should be a great hunt. High-quality lodging and meals to go with great deer hunting. Bucks in this area normally score very well.

hey matt 2, sent you a pm but i am not sure you got it > laeave me an address or phone number and i will contact you. for the other guys that left me addresses, thank you. we don't have the flyer ready yet but will get back with you soon as possible. if you would like send me a phone number and i will call you. btw forgot to mention on some of our property that will be hunted, may get a chance to see and shoot some wild hogs if you wanted

meant to tell everybody that we would supply picking you up and taking you back to the airport for those needing or wanting to fly. Columbus,MS and Tuscaloosa are small airports within 20 iles of Gordo and the closest major airport is in Birmingham,AL which is about 80 miles. we will handle making sure you can come. we are gonna have a great time while raising money for our band. thanks again for the interest.

hey jason, going well. just trying to get the flyers started so we can mail them out. when i get a little more time i am gonna put some pictures of some of the bucks that have been killed in the places that we will be hunting

TTURNER , would you need a out of state lics or how would it work?

Posted by TTURNER on 05-26-2012 04:27 AM:

yes you will have to get a 3 day big game out of state license which can be obtained online or purchased when you arrive

Posted by J. Junkin on 05-26-2012 03:28 PM:

A 3 day big game liscense for the state of alabama is $122.15 which is bad especially if you add it to the cost of the hunt. You are getting a high-quality hunt for a low-price. It should be a great time.

I can't believe Chad Bailey is letting yall hunt Bailey Bottoms. I thought that was his honey hole. How are you doing Terry Turner? People all kidding aside, the hunt will be worth the money!

Posted by TTURNER on 06-12-2012 09:35 PM:

hey Mike, how are you doing man? Been beeping up with you through Bo. Saw him and his wife and your mom and dad at a wedding Saturday night. first time i had seen your folks in probably over 30 years. good to hear from you, i am still hunting english hounds, can't seem to shake that color hide and yes believe it or not Chad is letting us hunt Bailey Bottoms.By the way that's a17 pt deer he killed with an extra main beam and a 8 inch drop tine that scored a little over 148.

Posted by TTURNER on 06-13-2012 04:40 PM:

Jason, those deer all scored between 148 to 164

Posted by Todd K / UKC on 06-13-2012 04:43 PM:

That sounds like a good time and a great deal ! I've never heard of a fund raiser like that before but that is a good idea.
