How About Some Input On One Of The CB Features?

Do those of you that get Coonhound Bloodlines like the feature they do called "Legacy Series" where they profile an extended pedigree on an individual dog? I'm guessing it's a lot of work and it's always confusing to me. Just wondered if you enjoy it or do you skip it?

I haven't figured out exactly how to read it yet....I glance at it if it's the breed I hunt, but I mostly skip it.

I enjoy It..I like the history on these old hounds.

One thing I would also like to see is the TRL expanded to a third column showing all time historical reproducers.

todd, if you know something about the dog profiled it's interesting, if not then it's just confusing.

IMO, the quality of the breed issues has declined over the years. I personally, can do without the legacy pedigree, I'd rather see a few more stories on my breed of choice.

We enjoy it. Its one of our favorite features in each of the breed issues.

+ 1 here... The spider ped is mildly entertaining but probably not worth the effort it takes to produce it... I'll be happy with more breed and competition stories myself.

i myself would rather have another article on some of the fore fathers of the breeds, there is more history to be gained and some interesting reading. one learns from the past i always was told. to me there is nothing more interesting than listening to the stories of "old timers" on dogs and how the hunts started!

Thanks everyone. Looks like it's about 50/50. Interesting. In theory you probably couldn't pick any column / feature in the magazine that is much more than 50/50 as everyone has slightly different interests.

confusing to follow all those arrows around to me. I'll read the articles, if they are about a line of interest, but like most, its only a one in seven chance to hit the interest mark. guess you could say i skip most, but do read a few.

When I recognize the dogs it's interesting to see how it came about. If I don't know the dogs I don't care because I can't really follow it.
I think a little more ANCIENT HISTORY in the breed issues would be nice because I believe much of it is being forgotten and lost. Everyone seems to get a kick out of reading old articles and ad's when a OLD magazine shows up .

Might be cool to offer a Booklet type history for each breed from start to present . Not every year but periodically.

Same here.
I have tried but when I gotta make an effort to understand something, it is no longer a pleasure. Now I just go right past it.

It's a great subject, I really enjoy a good history lesson. There's gotta be a better way.

I really like it. I think that it is a history lesson in itself that shows you where the dogs came from. I always keep them and use them for future reference. I can't believe that you would even think about doing away with it.
