Anyone remember hunting with Gr. Nt. Hardwood Patch, or his sire and dam Gr. Nt. Owens' Hardwood Bozo and Gr. Nt. Schmersal's Stylish Queen?

I have one that has him listed as greatgrandfather, I know he was out of Hardwwod Bozo and Stylish Queen . He left his mark on Harwood Freckels. Travis, are you planning to try another cross to bring some old blood back closer ?

Clyde had Patch at his house, I had a little female that was doing well that I was Proud of, I was thinking of breeding her to Patch and went to hunt her with him, I was kinda expecting to impress him at the same time, Patch got 5 strikes and 5 Trees on me and had all 5 coons, Then Patch struck and was running hard, I ask Clyde if he thought he might be running a deer, he said maybe, bout that time O Patch caught the coon on the ground. To be fair to the Female I was hunting, Clyde was saving hides and he had Patch trained, he would shoot the coon and send Patch on while he skinned the coon, Patch would fire in there and tree another one, my female was still trying to get a hold of the coon. After the hunt, Clyde said, You got a nice little started dog there son. LOL

Another night I went to Breed to him, it was a night about like tonight, 10 degrees and snowing. I was young and ask Clyde if he would hunt Patch, he did, he went about a mile and Treed a den Tree.

I bred a female and was hunting with Patch in 1992 the night Christian Laittner hit the miracle shot in the Elite 8 to knock Ky out of the NCAA tourn. We were listening on the Radio then going to O Patch treed. O Patch had treed another one and Laittner hit that shot. We were all in distress and couldnt move, Clyde had to go get O Patch by hisself.

I have a 6yo female out of Comas Stylish Pride and a female straight off patch and shes a straight up coon treer.

Hardwood Patch put the tracking in his pups.I had a female out of patch that was a real track dog and had a coon when she treed . would like to have a dozen more.

had one directly out of Patch that died in 05. he was the measuring stick i use.
didnt say much on the ground, but not silent, went hunting good and got treed.
most accurate hound ive ever followed.
would love to have another just like him.

last i heard, Arlander didnt part with the Patch semen to often.

i couple years ago there was some pups out of Patch born, but ive never heard if they turned out or not.

Ken Nehrkorn from southern Wisconsin had a litter of pups off Patch semen about 3 or 4 months ago. I haven't talked to him in awhile so I don't know what he did with them. I had one off Patch about 10 years ago. He was a coon treein machine. When the weather turned bad, you had better have your hiking boots on cause you were gonna find him treed somewhere. HUGE, HUGE mouth. Wish I would have got pups off him too.

Well, I just spent 29 hours of travel in the last two weekends taking a female to Dean Bitzel's. I have always been told he was the very best with artificial insemination. Dean worked his magic this past Wednesday and if all went well there will be some Hardwood Patch pups again here in a couple months. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed on this one!

I OWNED AT ONE TIME THE MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER TO GRODEY JODIE -MACKS MOTHER ALSO OWNED THE FEMALE CG WAS TALKING ABOUT AND NT.CH PKC CH. HARDWOOD BANDIT . WHEN I BRED MY JANE II TO PATCH THIS WAS A VERY NICE CROSS BUT I STAYED WITH CLYDE AND HUNTED PATCH ONE NIGHT AND PUPS OUT OF HIM SEVERAL NIGHTS WE SURE TREED A LOT OF COONS AND ALL DOGS LOOKED GREAT
