ill start it off .....
i'am a walker man , but not color blind and appreciate a good quality hound ! i personally like yadkin river walkers . ive had really good luck owning them / breeding them . ive crossed on several different lines ( sackett / rock river , cold sweat , rebel ) having a good female means alot as well as the stud , ive got 4 really nice females , i think makes a difference as well . if anyone has pics on your line of dogs post em !!!!!

Blue Dawgs
Northern Blue, Clear River Cash, Jet, Hammer..
I had english dogs years ago and let my stock fade away. The english stock I had just couldn't be found, I tried a few others but they just didn't pan out. A friend gave me my first blue dog and I have no complaints with that stock.. I'm gonna out cross to Blue Iron Brummy this Spring and that will be the stock I keep from here on out.. Should be a good cross when I mix it all together, a lot of Jet and Northern Blue

Blue English
I like the blue english because I like to be differant I guess. I prefer males because I don't have to worry about them going in heat and I don't really have a particular line I just have to have. I have hunted with good redbones, walkers, english, blueticks and black n tans. I think my next will be a blue tick/walker cross if I can find a good cross. The dog pictured is out of Zues and Puddles

dogs
i got a buddy that went to walker dogs he got a coma bred hound that is a good dog he just keeps 1 dog anymore said something happens to this dog hes done works 6 to 7 dats a week in the mines dont get to hunt much
I am a Bluetick man. I prefer the Vaughn bred stuff.
So far I have hunted with mostly male dogs. My next dog will be a bitch.
I am not a fan of chop mouth dogs no matter the breed. Alot of these Vaughn bred dogs seem to be big bawl mouth dogs and I like it!

I like the English Breed. I have never (in my life) owned any other breed. I started hunting this line of dogs back in the mid 60's when I was in the 6th grade. They were grade dogs at that time. I have line bred this same strain for about 45 years. They are predominantly Mountain Music Blue, BeechRiver and Bates Bred Hounds with a small touch of Junior and Tackets Tymes Breeding. For those of you that might not recognize the BeechRiver hounds, they were the foundation of the Nuese River/SwampRooster hounds.
I like the Blue English a little better than the Red ones, and (in general) I like the male dogs from this line a little better than I do the females. My reason for that is that percentage wise the male dogs seem to be a little faster track dogs, with (maybe) a little better nose, or maybe its that they have a little more hustle/desire to push a track. Why I'm guessing is that I have always line bred off a male dog I raised back in the late 70's who was an exceptional track & tree dog.

Hunt Walkers, clover/sackett bred. They're faster smarter louder start 10 times earlier; overall they are just better than other breeds. JMO! Hope your trees are filled with eyes.

Yadkin river walkers are the best in my opinion. They track faster and are louder than other breeds or lines but it's just what ever you like.

your welcome ! i really like when you see someone thats hunted and trained their own hounds for several years . iam partial to walker hounds but like i said iam not color blind at all . i really liked it when larry wilcox won the world hunt this year , hes another fella thats hunted and trained on his own stuff for several years and had success . i dont like when you see a guy in the final world hunt interview that says well so and so hired me to handle him in the hunts and he bought this dog from this guy who trained him . keep up the good work on your english hounds rocket .
