Wolves

I ran across this documentary about the wolf problem.

Very well done by a young man from Montana.

Yes this was an excellent video. I don't want them around here I get nervous enough with a pack of coyotes around a lone dog. Shoot em, shovel em, and shut up is a strategy that I've heard about.

The problem is they probably have a lot of them collared so if a person shot them get that **** collar off and destroy it. I hate to see someone get a hefty fine especially when they should get a bounty and possibly an award for killing the darn things.

Amen. People have such short memories. There's a reason they had a bounty on them. It's confirmed they're breeding in northern lower Michigan were I live. I saw one 3 years ago while deer hunting. I was dumbfounded, I wish I would've lit the wick on it.

This video shows what a disaster it was to reintroduce them into areas where they were wiped out. It also shows the huge negative impact it has had on the local economy. The **** wolves put people out of business.

Like the guy said in the video, the imaginary line between Canada and the U.S. is the only reason they're on the endangered list. They're plentiful in Canada and it's legal to kill them.

The freakin' eco-nut-jobs are ruining this country.

Worth watching, very well done. Where do we go from here?

Posted by Okie Dawg on 11-03-2011 03:28 AM:

Don't see why the ranchers didn't start killing 12 years ago. Law or no law if they kill my stock I kill them. That is big country and they can't have that many game rangers to watch them.

that's a good question. The problem is that sportsman are split on the issue because many weekend hunters or urbanites like the idea of wild wolves roaming their state. Many have never seen the negative side of having a large wolf population. All they hear is the side of the wacko's. Unless they see this video they'll never understand the real problem the wolves have created that's why I posted it.

All we can do is information warfare to help raise awareness of the impending disaster if wolves are left to reproduce unchecked. Maybe the politicians will act before it gets real ugly. It's already at the boiling point in the U.P.

Earlier this week someone killed a moose in the U.P. and left it's head on a rock with a sign that said "The wolves won't get this one".

Like the guy from Canada said they hunt them all the time and can't keep the numbers down . When they finally realize their mistake because there's too many then who's going to hunt them. We don't have as many good old boys with guns in the woods as we used to.

The wolf documentary was great, like everything else we get them pushed on us the we have to deal with them. WOLVES, HEALTH CARE, all the governmental bull crap.

LOL! After the DNR tracks it they'll want the newly discovered Aquatic Wolf protected and we won't be able to fish within 30 miles of the straits...

If he started out around the Atlanta/ Lewiston area I'd have been willing to give him a ride. LOL's

My uncle had two of his dogs peeled off of a bear tree and killed this bear season in Newberry MI. The DNR basicaly said sorry about your dogs maybe you should find a new area to hunt. We have been hunting in this area since 1962.

you live around here?

Posted by circleykennels on 11-15-2011 02:49 AM:

You can try running them but don't think Plotts or any other hound will stand a chance with one of those big Wolves they killed two seasoned bear dogs like they were cottontailed rabbits.

It would be awesome to see this shown on TV, possibly the Documentary Channel. I'm not sure they would air it since most of their programming tends to be liberal biased.

I would bet 90% of the population living in cities or suburbs still thinks it's great to have wolves living in the "country". Of course "country" to them means anywhere outside metro areas. This film could change quite a few minds if only it could get mass exposure.
