your average full moon night

well, last night don't suprise me a bit. Turned the dog loose and listen to him trail over a hill and on out of hearing. Garmin says he's treed 1.17 miles from where we turned loose at. Walk back to truck. Drive around. Get close as possible without parking in somebodys yard. Walk through half a mile of briars and cutover. Get to the dog treed. Get to him and he's right behind two houses and where i have NOOOOO permission to be. Maybe 50 yards from there back porch. Sneak in, grab dog and run. Last night the entire night we didnt even need a light to walk with unless we were in thick stuff. I think I'll stay my sorry butt at home tonight.

Im taking this old, blind, broke down, artheritic, 12 and half year old bluetick (princess) to the woods tonight. Taking her to a spot where we normally get treed within half a mile to one full mile away. Now, if we go in there and tree a coon on the outside in 200 yards i am SERIOUSLY goin to be examining how this other dog of mine hunts . lol

Hunted 4 1/2 hours last night. Dogs treed 7 times and seen 12 coon. Single dumped them till the last dump "Grand Finale". Usually they go a mile in about 5 minutes, they went 300 yards and split treed. One had a single the other had 3. Hunting dogs that are half plott and half collie.

Tonight

the moon will be 15% bigger, an 30% brighter, this happens about every 20 years--

Know how you feel Jason. Treed 2 singles Thursday night! Last night, 1 den, 2 holes in the ground. I decided it was going down hill so took the night off tonight, nothing but deer and opossums will be moving around here tonight!
