Hank Williams III CD - Coon Hunting

Hank III released a new CD last week. Received it in mail today and when I opened it up, there was coons on the actual CD and when I removed the CD, here is what the image underneath was.

wildbill, it's called Rebel Within -- Ordered from Amazon on Monday and arrived today for like $12.00 and some change total.

So,whats it sound like? Is hank jr jr a coonhunter?

Best Buy has it for 9.99 in new release section. Picked mine up last week.

Hank Jr used to coon hunt............I have seen clips with Hank III talking about coon hunting, not sure if he still does these days.

Yea, the CD is good.........if you have heard Hank III's music before, you won't be disappointed.

This CD finished his contract with Curb Records --- I look forward to the music now that he has complete musical freedom now.

DustinS, our BB sold out and never got anymore copies last week and were expecting 18 cd's this week at regular price. LOL, it was cheaper just to have it sent to the house than going to local Best Buy this week.

Bukshot, Amen to the curb contract ending. When we went to Best Buy and asked one fella about the CD he looked at us like we were stupid. lol he had to get someone else to help us.

Well I listened to the samples. I feel better knowing I won't be wasting my money on that.

I've been a Hank III fan for a few years. His last albums have all been pretty good. He's not for everyone. He's not his father, nor his grandfather but he is continuing on they're path of putting out music his own way.
He can be offensive, but I think they said the same thing about the Hanks before him.

I have all his CD's -- the one before his new CD is probably his most outrageous country CD -- "**** Right, Rebel Proud" -- there is a hidden track on there a few minutes after track 11 ends that is some crazy stuff in the style of GG Allin - which is also a tribute song to him.

Hank III is like another outlaw country singer -- David Allan Coe -- he done some crazy albums years ago, some real offensive stuff -- And you never know what kinda act your going too see when seeing him live............I have seen DAC in concert so many times I can't tell you the # --- the old man is something. LOL

My buddy plays fiddle for him now. He has not coonhunted in a while but still talks about it. Hunted with his maternal grandad a lot when he was young. Cool to see the photos.
