This Maine Bear Just Got Lightfooted

FROM START TO FINISH THIS BEAR GOT LIGHTFOOTED TODAY MY JESS DOG GOT THE BEAR STARTED AND COLD TRAILED THE TRACK SHE GOT THE JUMP IN DEEP AND I COULD NOT GET ANY OTHERS IN SO WE DROVE AROUND THE MOUNTAIN AND GOT A HEAD OF HER SHE WAS PARALLELING THE ROAD I SENT BLITZ ,CROOK & CLYDE INTO HER WHEN THEY HIT THE TRACK THE BEAR CAME OUT IN THE ROAD WITH JESS ABOUT 75 YARDS BEHIND IT THEY SOON ALL WHERE ON THE TRACK AND WIDE OPEN SEEMED TO HAVE IT CAUGHT IN NO TIME WE DROVE AROUND AND GOT AS CLOSE AS WE COULD AND HEADED INTO THE TREE IT WAS APPROX. A 180LB BEARING SOW SHE WAS REALLY BREATHING HARD AND WASN'T ABOUT TO COME BACK DOWN INTO THAT PACK OF LIGHTFOOT HOUNDS WISHING THEY COULD CLIMB.LOL THE HUNTER SHOT THE BEAR AND IT GOT STUCK UP THERE AND I HAD TO CLIMB TO GET IT ABOUT FORTY FEET . WE DID GET TONS OF VIDEO AND PICS IN THE WOODS BUT NONE OF IT WAS ON MY CAMERA BUT I'LL TRY TO GET SOME TO POST LATER. FOR THOSE OF YOU ON HERE THAT KNOW ME IS NO SURPRISE! MY CAMERA WAS IN MY BAG AT THE TRUCK HERE IS A PIC OF THE DOGS MY FATHER, BROTHER, SON AND FRIEND JEFF AND THE HAPPY LIGHTFOOTED HUNTER BARRY AND I. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY THE DOGS MY BROTHERS LIGHTFOOT CLYDE DOG MY IDAHO LIGHTFOOT BLITZ SECOND NATURES LIGHTFOOT JESS AND SECOND NATURES CROOK ALL OF THEM HAVE LIGHTFOOT HOUNDS IN THERE PEDIGREE.

TODAY WAS THE SECOND DAY OF OUR HOUND SEASON AND I HOPE JUST THE START OF A GOOD ONE FOR MY HOUNDS AND I .

JESS I WILL TRY TO GET SOME PICS OF FROM THE WOODS AND GET THEM POSTED WHEN I GET MY COPY OF THE VIDEO I'LL TRY TO SEND YOU AND DUSTIN ONE THANKS FOR EVERYTHING AND THE HOUNDS LARRY

HERE IS A KINDA NEAT SIDE NOTE MY FATHER ,SON AND I WERE WORKING TOGETHER FOR MY BROTHER AND HIS GUIDE SERVICE THREE GENERATIONS OF THE YORK BLOODLINE ALL REGISTERED MAINE GUIDES WITH A HOLE LOT OF LIGHTFOOT GENERATIONS OF LIGHT FOOT HOUNDS GOTTA LOVEM

I figured the reason you guys had Clyde's homely side showing, was an attemp to make the rest of you look prettier. LOL

It's pretty cool to see a group of hunters spanning multiple generations, hunting hounds that do the same.

Larry, sounds like a pretty good start to the hunting season. I'm glad to hear that your hounds are doing good. Especially one in particular. LOL Maybe one of these days I will get in your part of the country and get to see one of those bear races in person. Take care and keep that tradition in the woods for many years to come.

WE STARTED THIS ONE OFF THE BAIT WITH BLITZ & CROOK. THEY WENT OUT GOOD AND CAUGHT UP WITH HIM FAIRLY QUICK (I WAS NOT RUNNING JESS SHE WAS ON INJURED RESERVE LIST). DAD ADDED MY BROTHERS CLYDE DOG AND HIS FANNY DOG. BLITZ & CROOK CROSSED THE PAVED ROAD BEHIND US. CLYDE AND FANNY WHERE A WAYS BEHIND SO WE REPLACED THEM WITH TWO OF MY BROTHERS PUPS OUT OF HIS GUNNER DOG .THEY CROSSED THE ROAD THREE MORE TIMES IN FRONT OF US {THE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW US TO DISCHARGE FIRE ARMS FROM PAVED ROAD}. THE FORTH TIME HE CAME INTO THE PAVED ROAD HE WAS BARLEY GOING. BLITZ , CROOK AND THE BEAR ALL IN THE ROAD RIGHT NEXT TO A FEW HOUSE'S AGAIN WITH NO SHOT FOR THE HUNTER. MY BROTHERS TWO PUPS HAD FALLEN BEHIND AND WE THEN REPLACED THEM WITH BONNY AND CLYDE. HE WENT AROUND THE END OF THE MOUNTAIN AND HELD UP IN THE ROCKS SURROUNDED BY THE FOUR LIGHTFOOT HOUNDS. (GOTTALOVEM) THAT WAS ALL HE COULD STAND HE MUST OF REALIZED THEN THAT HE HAD BEEN LIGHTFOOTED. HE DIDN'T GO OUT WITHOUT A FIGHT BLITZ HAD A BAD GASH IN HER FLANK & CROOK HAD ANOTHER ONE ON HIS FRONT SHOULDER WHICH IS GOING TO PUT THEM ON THE I.R.L TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY FOR ME OF THE FIRST WEEK OF THE AND IT LOOKS LIKE JESS IS OFF THE LIST & BACK IN THE LINE UP WITH BONNIE AND CLYDE AND MY PUP LIGHTFOOT BLUE CRUIZ. MONDAY WE RAN A BIG BEAR FOR 9.5 MILES .TUESDAY 180 LBDER TO TREE 6.5 MILES. WEDNESDAY BLITZ AND JESS STRUCK ANOTHER BIG BEAR OFF THE TOP OF FOSTER RIDGE AND RAN TILL NOON I'M NOT SURE OF THE MILEAGE I CLEARED THE INFO ON MY GARMIN BY ACCIDENT. TODAY RAN THE 195LB BOAR INTO THE ROCKS AND I'M DAM TIRED BUT I WON'T SLEEP FOR CRAP TONIGHT THINKING ABOUT WHAT ADVENTURE THE LIGHTFOOT HOUNDS WILL LEAD ME INTO TOMORROW LIKE I HAVE SAID BEFORE GOTTALOVEM. Blitz looks like a boxer who just got done with a heavyweight fight, and her manager is putting her robe on her. If you keep spoiling her like that, she's gonna expect you to carry out of the woods every time. LOL. Great job.

When I saw the first picture of the group I was SO dissapointed to see Blitz's gorgeous head with an obstructed view! Then I got to see her head... and ALL dressed up too! Glad she wasn't hurt worse. Of course you've ruined her and she'll have to go piggyback everywhere!
