Post a picture of your coon dog along with a little history

If you have an honest to goodness coondog post a picture of him or her. I don't care if it is registered or not has 4 ears 3 eyes or 40
toes if it's a coon dog post a picture of it. I'd like to see what one looks like.

Here is a couple pictures of Handyman. He is the most natural coon dog I've ever had. He barked at the first coon he seen at 8weeks old. He treed his first coon at 4 months old, by his self. Hopfully we will have him around for a long time. Handy just turned 4years old a couple of weeks ago.

Here is a picture I took of Shorty Wednesday night. He is still a pup, but I hunt him alone at least four nights a week. He continues to improve and amaze me with every turn out.

This is my old Andy dog. Bought him from Dennis Shepherd when he was four months old. Andy had it all: Hunt, strike, tree, desire, and brains. He was from the cross Dennis made between Trapper and Bell. Andy is the sire of my Nippet female.

He was taken from my home when he was four years old. He's gone, but his blood remains through Nippet, and her son, Mayberry Bawling Andy.

This is Nippet. Everyone on the board has probably seen this picture. She was under two in this picture. She is almost six now.
She is the only dog, in 40 yrs. of hunting, I've never put a price on. She's probably not that good, I just like her that much. Turn her loose, find her treed......somewhere. She's not 100% accurate, but when she lies (which is not that often) she swears to it.

This little dog is as close as I'll ever own to a coondog. She is the most pleasureable dog I've ever owned and hunted around. Consistent, accurate, and SMART.

Medium hunter that checks in and works over and area real good (not just straight line) Tight mouthed. Run to catch. Pick a tree with a coon and will be there whenever you get there. Not broke (haven't had a problem), but as clean as any dog.

You can just about tell this dog to do anything. I never need a leash or rarely have to touch her.

I'm not much of a "coonhunter" I prefer to be out runing bear, but I will say, she's pretty good on coon, and has made me enjoy it a whole lot more.

This is my Belle dog. She turned 3 years old today. I bought her when she was 4 months old from some people that didn't really want anything to do with coon dogs. I paid $50 for her LOL!

She is out of 2 PR dogs and doesnt have much along the lines of titles in her pedigree.

She finished to Show Champion at a little over a year old. She finished to Nite Champion by the time she was 2 and Grand Nite when she was 2 1/2.

She is one of the smartest dogs I've ever been around. She is quiet in the kennel, but sure enough loud enough to be ignorant on the tree.

She rarely misses a coon and most likely has treed over 400 coon for me since she treed her 1st on her own at 10 months old.

She rarely misses a coon and is an all around pleasure to turn loose whether its for competition or pleasure.

She likes to sneak off and have a coon by herself.

The dog has came back to me without being treed somewhere maybe a dozen times in her life. I can walk her from the tree without a lead.. She will probably be one of the best I will ever have the chance to own.

This dog is the reason I got real into coonhunting. I had always coonhunted some, but I started going just about every nite my father went when he started hunting her. She is one of the fastest track dogs i've ever seen and can tree those tough ones in water or grub out a cold one and put the coon at the end of it. I hunted in my first nite hunt with this dog, even won my cast. She just turned 6 this past April.

Hes the first coondog i've owned. Haven't done no big amount of winning but I did finish him to Grand Show Champion all by myself, won 2007 Maritime Show with him and won my cast at Youth Nationals last summer with him. I'm sure he won't be the best coondog i've ever owned, but he'll be one I'll never forget.

Bo was the first coondog I ever owned. He was given to me by my uncle a couple years ago when I started hunting. He is a pure pleasure to hunt. I never have to put a leash on him. He will walk off the tree when I tell him to and when its time to go home I tell him and he follows me to the truck. When we get home I open the dogbox and he walks to his kennel. I use him to train pups and he is great at it. He hunts close to medium most nights but every now and then he gets a wild hair and goes deep. He is a very accurate dog and the only off game he will mess with is a possum every now and then. He trees with all four feet on the ground about 90% of the time with a steady chop. He opens good on the ground and it is a real pleasure to hear him lining out a track. Bo turned 6 years old in January and will be here to the day he dies.
He is out of two PR' dogs but his pedigree goes back to Rusty Red and Ramblin Red Zack

My dad bought her for me when she was 6 wks old. I picked her out of the litter. Shes now 6 years old. I won my first hunt with her (1st place reg). I really enjoy hunting her and shes a nice coondog. Love hearing her nice locate and once she trees shes there. Last couple years we hunted her on bobcats and she did a pretty nice job too. My dad won the Maritime Championship with her 2 yrs in a row. I have a pup out of her now. Hope I can continue to hunt her for a few more years.

I have had and got alot of good dogs and a whole lot of not so good dogs lol, but for me this bitch has what I have to have in a coondog. She is a go hunting honest first strike dog that gets hooked under a coon. She is a very accurate dog but not perfect she has alot of traits that people dont like such as chewing and jacking the tree a bit but for me she has what it takes to be a coon dog she gets struck and treed and has a coon. She is a one bark stay put tree dog who I have on several occasions I have got off a tree at noon the next day because I could not get to her the night before. She handles like a dream and has produced some great pups, so for me she is what I would call a coondog. She is just a pleasure to own and hunt and lord willing will die at my house in her kennel.
