dog food

what is the best dog food for the money i feed dog chow but the bags got smaller(44.1) and the price (21.98)went up just wondering if there is anything out there better

TOPS brand. Premium bag. 27% protein 15% fat. I pay $18 for 50 lbs. Works good. I feed less than i did with black gold and still keep the dogs looking good.

If you can find it the Tops Premium (red bag 27-15) is very good feed & a lot cheaper, at least here it is than a lot of high dollar feeds. made by specialty feeds (901-774-9080)ask for joey, he can tell you if there is a distributor near you. if not High Standard is very good feed & so is Pro Balance or Buddy Boy.All of these mentioned are far better than Purina Dog Chow, but Purina does a lot for hunters too.

Ultra is the best buy I have found for a top dog feed. I pay 22 for a 50lb bag.

Always fed Purina.....until the price increase. Went to ultra and have been VERY pleased.

Dogs don't show wear. Stay fat and slick. Cant hunt them down.

We tried ultra advantage & wasn't at all impressed. the feed i'm telling you of in my opinion beats it also, but i realize a lot of feeds aren't available in some regions of the country.Tops Premium here $16.25 per bag, but right up the road at feed store it's $18.50 go figure lol

best i have found is 24/20 ultra , meat based,, i pay 19.00 a bag,,,i have had good luck with it

I cant believe Tops (junk of all dog foods) found its way back into the hunters hands. The original Tops was the worst feed made. Ive heard alot of good things about the new brand but all I see is the original junk when I see the name Tops lol

ultra is made by sports mix [.preety sure] it is great and so is just sports mix 24/20 17.75 -1800 a bag black bag great dog feed. plus where i buy mine for every bag you get a chance to win a new garmin,,

Sportsmix green bag during the summer and Sportsmix blue or black bags during the winter cooler months. I have been feeding it to my dogs for a long time and haven't found anything better for the money yet. I bought a bag of River Bend a month or so ago because it was closer than the place I get my Sportsmix and my dogs wouldn't eat it PERIOD!! I had to pour it out for the coons to eat.

Hi-Standard Dog food, 26-18 is one of the best out there for the money.

Tops

I couldn't agree more on the old tops , but there's no comparison between the premium27-15 in the red bag. it's the only one we feed & is a very good feed. Try it you might like it as it was developed for working dogs. we feed the same amount as we did on High Standard26-28 purple bag & it's just as good by all means.

Just because a company lists it name and address on a bag doesn't mean it is made there....There is a custom feed mill in st mary's ohio that makes dogfeed for up to 50 different brand labels.. around this part of the country.. such as buddyboy, professional, pkc brand and others to name a few...this has a lot to do with price and quality JMHO

The mill in St Mary's produces the Ultra Advantage food along with a bunch of other brands. They all have their own custom mixes.
