I am as diehard of a Bama fan as they get. I hate we lost, but I am glad we had a great season.

Oklahoma could not stay on the field with Bama and they dern sure can't play with Florida. The SEC is the best and toughest conference in the country. Hands down.

The thing of it is. Is I wish Okalahoma could pull it out, but it will not happen.

I agree about the rankings. Now, I'll be honest and tell it like it is also. I'm a Georgia Bulldog fan. I had high hopes. Yes I did. The rankings can't get it right. This year, were not a #1 team. Were not close right now. I admit that. But in January of 2008 we were without a doubt THE BEST TEAM IN THIS COUNTRY. PERIOD. I'm not talking about rankings, I'm talking about the plain and simple truth. Like Buckshot said earlier in another post. You cannot compare the sec to other conferences. It's like comparing apples and oranges. The SEC is the toughest conference of all. That's all there is to it. Florida will beat any time you throw at em. ANY TEAM. Let me rephrase that. BAMA can whoop any team in the country and Florida can whoop bama. There you go.

For someone who always says re-read the post, you need to take your own advice. My post never did refer to yesterdays game. I was merely recapping a very good season. I don't make excuses!!! The post that started this thread never mentioned yesterdays game, so it left the door wide open for comment. If you want an analysis of the game, it came down quarterback play, and Florida's QB is in a different league than Bama's. You seem to be in the habit of trying to read my mind and put words in my mouth.

i am bama fan thru and thru... the one thing i commend that NO ONE has mentioned on here is what Saban had to say following the game.. he gave FL props for out playing them.. he said when they went back and watched the films they would see what cost them.. and then he WISHED FL WELL in the NC!! he knows he is playing in the toughest conf. in the NCAA... I believe if USC, TX, TX tech, Penn St. or OK played in the SEC none of them would have walked out without at least 2 losses!!! like I have said before, the SEC champ game was for the NC... FL will show the BCS and OK just what it is like to play in the SEC... FL WON the right to be playing for the national championship... so did TEXAS!!! OK playing for the NC is just like if they now put AL in it after loosing to FL... should it be AL and OK?? heck no, it should be FL and TX..

AL farrrrrrrrrrrr exceded anyone's expectations... they even played better than anyone gave them credit for in the champ game.... They will win the sugar bowl and end up 13-1 with a very young team..

MO did just enough last night to show OK's weekness and FL (TEBOW) will exploit that like a mack truck.. they are VERY week right in the middle.. Tebow will have over 100 yds rushing right up the middle against them and when they bring their safty's up to "try" and stop Tebow he will go long on them down the middle....

Wasn't the GATORS running back out yesterday? Florida is the VERY BEST team out there and playing in the VERY BEST conf. SEC!! The Gators ONLY loss was 1 point and they have kicked the crap out of the rest ( except Bama ) .

THE TIDE played a very good game. Have came a long way in a very short period of time. Alabama is a school of winning tradition.Anything less than 100% on the field will be unacceptable.

When Oklahoma lost to texas 45-35 it was a wake-up call for the Sooners...they responded like champions the remainder of the year and now find themselves in the nc game. RIGHTFULLY SO!

Oklahoma might have a shot as long as they are not playing against those poor tator farmers from Boise Idaho!!!

How sorry is this BCS system? USC's defense is a s good as anyone has ever had and they barely lost to Oregon State early and they are out of the picture. Texas beat both teams who played in the big 12 championship and were only beat once and they are out of it. I know the BCS is all about loosing early but Alabama may be the team that has been slighted the most. I said a month ago that when Alabama and Florida play, it will probably expose Alabama's quarterback, and I think that is what probably cost them the game in the end. As far as Saban leaving Alababma, I do not know where he would go and have as much young talent coming back then at Alabama, except maybe Florida, and after the gators win the national championship I doubt Myer will be leaving!!!

In the year 2000 Oklahoma was gave "no chance" against a very good florida state team who had the heismen trophy winner at quarterback. This year will be no different....people will say the gators defense and the tebow will be too much for a big12 school such as Oklahoma.

If Florida takes Oklahoma lightly and brings their showboat,goofball nonsense to the field w/o proper preparation....Oklahoma will trounce them like beating a red-head stepchild...the the Bama fans will be saying what if we woulda/shoulda beat Florida.
