Joe Newlin

Hey bud, just wanted to say thanks again for coming up and hunting with me.

Cube sure put on a show last night. Thorn was no slouch either!

Fellas, if you want to see the world, don't join the Marines, Go hunting with an Oak Ridge Hound, they will show you places in your own backyard that you have never been!

We made 11 Trees, Saw coon in 10. Rolled out 9 to the dogs.
I have a long ways to go with Jester, but I saw last night what I would love to have eventually. As you said, alot of miles to go, but they'll come.

Thanks again, and tell Josh, if he gets tired of Cubit, I'll feed him for him.

Shawn....sorry dude,

I finished Cube to Grand on Friday night and gave him to Josh on Saturday morning....

Josh has had several offers on him, and he's almost as stubborn as his dad....

Joe, I love your website and have it under my favorites. I like your philosophy on breeding coon dogs. Seems as if it's rare nowadays to have lofty goals and a good breeding scheme. I wish I were closer to you. I'd try and get a pup from you.....Mike

Tracy,

As always...thanks for the hospitality! Second to none.

The hunting was great, the friendship is even better! Josh had a great time, and we are working on his "marksmanship"....

For those of you that think that Michigan coon are "easy"...go for a hunt with Tracy. He has a way of "challenging" you. This is the first coon of the night...in a peat bog. Imagine walking in to a dog stepping on floating mats of vegitation. Step in the wrong spot, and you are neck deep....

And of course, the coon rolls out INTO the swamp....

At the end of the night, we had walked a lot of miles, showed you areas of your hunting grounds that you had never been too...and we had a great time. Josh is sure proud of his little dog!

Roger,

We had a great hunt. Hunted on public ground, and as is usually the case, Tracy tries to take me to places where he doesn't think you can tree a coon.

He admits that he "dry holes" me every time I come up there....

Might make another run up to that area next weekend...you game?

This time I want those nice flat patch woods, surrounded by corn..no more dry holing Joe...just to see if it can be done!

We might have to plan a "coon hunting party"!

Ok, well I do have a few spots that I didn't take you. Like I said, I have added a few spots to my list, but I sure do love that state land!

I can think of 3 or 4 spots right off hand at the moment, and I can probably get Curtis to go along, he has a lot of Crop land he can take us on also.
