World Champion Rocky Creek Jess

I would like to announce the purchase of World Champion Rocky Creek Jess. I also thank Mr. Rob wallen for having the faith and skill to handle such a fine hound. Rob raised and trained jess. Jess will be bred to the current number one UKC reproducing male GrNtCh Hardtime Swampcat. 718 969 5185

People accuse me of being color blind. The truth is I will hunt red ones, blue ones, black and white ones, yellow ones, black and tan ones, or even brindle ones; Just as long as they are English!

Regrets

Just hope he doesn't have any regrets, I know I sure do. Those wins don't come everyday, usually once in a lifetime. Tim

I hear you Tim really I do. My son owns our Aaron's Hidden Meadows Blue Max dog and he is just average dog. But one time a few years back he was offered a good chunk of change for a kid just out of high school. And I learned something then from him. He said Daddy that money sure would be good and I could really use it but I love my dog and once he is gone I won't be able to get him back so I guess he will die here. That has stuck with me through the years in dealing with hounds. I guess both parties are happy with their new sale and I wish them the best.

Congrats Rev. Moore on your purchase. The training was a team effort between Chad Nay and Rob Wallen. Chad broke the dog and Rob put the polish and the World title on her. Good luck with Jess, she is a fine hound.

Thats easy to say but I'm sure it would be hard to turn down cold hard cash.......

Most of the time when someone turns down BIG money for a hound the next time you hear about the hound its about it being dead.

Mr Wallen did the logical thing, make money on a dog that could be dead tomorrow. I would have done the same thing if it was me. Who wants to buy a second place dog any how? CA-CHING!$$$$

My dog is part of my family!! And there isnt enough money on earth to buy her. She is no were near a world champion and prolly never will be. I have had offers to buy her and it wont ever happen. Money is the last thing on my mind when it comes to coon hunting. Just my opinion not starting a thing. Hope the dog continues with its success. If I was him I would have been going for back to back baby!!

Money

Trust me, it might take a few years or months but the money will be gone and it will leave you wondering why did I sale my dog. lol. If you need the money for your family, than sale, if not than theres no way I will never sale another world champion unless my family is in need. I don't know what Richard paid for the dog, but he will make it back on puppies, but I bet he has a few dollars to spare. lol.

Posted by Jason34 on 10-02-2008 04:39 AM:

I dont know guys I think half the fun of hunting is training young dogs so I could see saleing one but it wouldnt be about the money I myself just like starting young dogs

Posted by lightning1 on 10-02-2008 04:43 AM:

If I was the owner the dog would sit beside me on the couch watching tv for the rest of it's life, or be hunting.

Posted by Philip on 10-02-2008 02:13 PM:

I say, congradualations to both parties, best of luck.

Posted by JimF on 10-02-2008 10:23 PM:

Congrats first to Rob and Chad on a job well done.

Also,Congratulations to you Richard on the perchase of Jess.

PS You sure do have them talking Richard

Sell - Family always comes first and that means me, the wife, and the kids anything else is just on borrowed time. I don't see a thing wrong with selling her I would have.

Posted by Todd K / UKC on 10-03-2008 01:18 PM:

FYI - spoke with Rev. Moore yesterday and he assured me Jess will not be a puppy factory and will be back to defend her title, likely with the same handler. Glad to hear it!
