How many pairs of Muck boots?
How many pairs of Muck boots have you worn out the heel in? I would think for every three pair worn out I should get a new pair.
Every pair I've ever had.
I hunt at least five nights a weak. I'm in pretty thick coon country so don't put on alot of miles. My Muck boots are 3years old now and still very comfortable, but the inside heal was wore out in the first year. I now wear an extra pair of socks to realive the rubbing. If they could prevent this problem I deffently buy another pair.

I bought a pair 3 years ago. I have to buy a pair every year. The heel wears out in them. This year I am looking at others.I thought I may be the only one having that problem.

I bought a pair a couple of yrs ago and I love them..To prevent the inside heel from wearing out go to Walmart and buy a pair of arch supports, wear them inside yours Mucks they make a big difference...You'll only need one pair of socks...
I went through 4 pair. They were more comfy than a lacrosse grange so it was worth wearing a pair out in a couple of months. As soon as the Alpha burly's came out I switched right over!
On the lacrosse boots, can you wade in a swamp and still be dry like you can the mucks?? The sorriest boots i ever had were Rocky's. Rocky claimed they were waterproof and they were for about a month. That's it.
The Alpha's were alot more waterproof than the Mucks. I had a pair of rocky leather boots with chaps. They were extremely comfortable and lasted forever but the waterproof part was a load of bull. I could only wear them in the summer because if you got in any water at all you would feel it. If you waded a creek or river you were better off wearing flip flops.
I do have the arch support in them.
how are the lacross stalkers?
do the buckles get inthe way of the burly lites? or do they help keep your foot in the boot?
My mucks only last about 2 years but I sure do a lot of walking and not on flat ground. If you don't buy them too big, then the inside heel does not wear out. Never get them so big that you can wear 2 pairs of socks. Arch supports help too, but I have to wear them in all of my shoes.
Try Dr. Sholls (I know I misspelled it) heal support gel soles.. they work.. I broke both of my heels and I got to have that heal support in no matter what boot I wear.. I have had a pair of Mucks for about 4 years.. I wore them out in the woods climbing up on ravies, work on a farm and etc.. what is the most wore out about them is the traction... the heel is good still cuz of the heel supports..
Buy a pair of the blue booties and you will not have this problem any more.
Two pair of Mucks...heels in both pairs wore out. 5 pairs of LaCrosse and my next will be a pair of Lacrosses. The Alpha Lights are just as comfortable as the Mucks without the problems. I wear the Burlys when the temperatures drop into the 30s or colder.

I wore a pair of alpha burleys out in less than 6 months, bought mucks then, they are holding up a little bettter but I also bought a boot dryer at the same time and put them on it after each hunt. I think it is making a huge difference.

Still on my first pair. Anything that hold up to my weight is good so no complaints here. Like wearing slippers in the woods
I am in the minority because I don't like the Muck boots at all. I have a pair of Woody Max's that I wore maybe 10 times. I just don't find them comfortable or supportive at all.
Ihave a pair of alpha burly's but I don't ever remember them having a heel it has been gone so long. I hunt in them about every night.
Most comfortable boot I have ever had on my foot is the rubber coated bog boots. They are nice, but w/o chaps you are gonna have to put down around $90.00 for a pair of them.
