Balls Hickory Nut Harry

Other than the cross with Rutan's Bear Creek Princess, that produced Owens Hardwood Bozo, what other females was Harry bred to that produced well known hounds?
Thanks,
Michael

Uh, I give up. If you find out let me know.
The Princess bitch must have made a big influence on Bozo cause I have seen a lot more good dogs off him than I ever saw off old Harry.

Actually, there was quite an extensive family of females in Ohio during the 70s and 80s that were Old Harry bred. They were better than fair reproducers themselves. In fact, a couple of guys were linebreeding on old Harry pretty darn tight.

I actually could go back and get even more examples if it wasn't little league season. Ask me again when the snow is deep and it is way below zero.

I should have info on Ball's Rose and Morgan's Penny. If memory serves me correctly Penny is out of Rain's Banjo Jr., but don't quote me on that. Let me check at home. Memory is some times faulty.

That would be STYLISH Harry not the original Hickory Nut (1T) Harry.

O.K. here the pedigrees:

-----------------------Banjo
-------------Rain's Banjo Jr.
-----------------------Ritchie's Rockwell Jennie
----Ball's Rose
-------------Eckhart's Sally

-----------------------Rain's Banjo Jr.
-------------Norman's Coon Stopper
-----------------------Hershberger's Kansas Babe
----Morgan's Penny
-----------------------House's Bawlie
-------------Cypress Creek Beulah
-----------------------Norton's Sugar

I have many walker lines back to single registered dogs. Of course the worst part is once you get two more parents then you need four more.

Michael, as for your question I will see what I can find. There are many.

Thank you very much Larry !! The further you go back and you get alittle more info Like you have given me, its like a Gig Saw Puzzel "when you find the right piece you can Fill in alot of Empty Spaces" ..
I gess its not much to alot of Fokes but for some its alot of Fun kinda .. But in some cases It fills Info in on other Breeds..lol

I'am running 8 to 10 generations on 3 different Breeds.. Walkers, English and Blueticks. With Stud Photo/Ad files that match up in the Peds..
It took 2-1/2 months of research in the Walkers and their Are Some ??s on "Behind to Barn Breeding" from the Old Field Trial Stock.. That when you rely on the Apperance of the Hound more than the Actual Paper Work !!

Oh I do Work on the Side .. LOL

I can’t think of too many, I only know that the ones I hunted with didn’t impress me. Most were either track waddling type dogs or mean or both. I know many will disagree with that statement but that’s what I seen in them. Maybe I just never hunted with the right ones. I will say that I’ve hunted with some dogs that had Old Harry blood way back in them that I really liked. Old Harry seems to get the credit for a good dog no matter how far back he is in the bloodline. Old Harry had a promoter behind him that’s for sure but I’m not sure all the credit Harry received and still receives is justified. I know based on what I’ve seen if Old Harry was alive today I wouldn’t breed to him.

I heard that ....I think the legend of Harry was more Timothy than it was Harry's abilty to tree coon's..
