what is your right as a dog owner if you walk into a tree and another mans dog is attacking your dog................ ive never had it happen but if it was my dog being attacked id kick the crap out of the other dog and pay the consequences later cause i guess im dimb that way

hell id take all the minus they want to give me id withdraw my dog anyway hate people that bring mean dogs to the hunts and know they are mean i know of a few around here

Ya jim they sure can ruin a hunt. Went to go check out my dog and hes limpin on his front leg hes got two big chunks of meat missin, a ear tore open and a few holes in his face if the camera works im going to take some pictures, i already have some of the bloody mess last night. Í'll be honest im surprised he didnt retaliate from that beating, he treed non stop i was proud.

ya and they try to say your dog is mean ive hunted with him and topper 60 times and topper is a puss and topper has never had a problem treeing with him id still call the guy that was talking crap about his though

If club officials know that a dog is mean dont they have the right under UKC rules to refuse the dogs entry?

Yes. They advise doing so in a written letter signed by club officials. Not at the clubhouse during sign ups. Most clubs will not do that though. Ours up there didn't at least.

Some dogs just dont get along.. I've hunted mine for 4 years here and there. I saw her fight once!! Her and this other dog didnt like each other I guess..Didnt think the other dog was mean either..We were standing within 60 yards of tree when fight broke out.Yes . Mine was rolling her..What I getting at is you never know.ANY other man kicks my dog for anything is gonna have a busted nose!! A mean dog is a different story..Still I'm not gonna kick a mans dog for him lol.........

if my hound has yours down on the ground and you get there first, feel free to plant a boot. I'm going to do the same to him when I get there. I will probably give the hound one more chance then it is goodbye to him.

i will be honest here i have a female that will not hunt with another female its keeping me from getting her finished in the squirrel hunts.but i refuse to enter her because i know what will happen.i dont want the reputation for hunting a mean dog.so if its just males in the hunt its on.the title isnt that important to get a bad name.thanks ron ps i would get minused if a dog jumped on my dog.

I once drew out a dog at a pkc hunt that tried to clean off the tree and when we got in there he tried to clean out the handlers... It was classic. One guy grabs a stick and starts beating him another was smacking him with the brass snap on his strap. The guy that was handling the dog couldnt even get close to him. He finally got behind him and got him by the collar and settled him down.

I once worked on a job with an old man that just pleasure hunted. He always carried a pistol when hunting and said if he was hunting with someone else and he walked into a tree & a dog was jumping on his he would shoot the dog. I don't and wont hunt a dog thats mean but I still wouldn't go hunting with him because he was just a little crazy.

i prefer to correct my own dog, but in a knock down, rolling fight i would not get upset if J. Hill gave mine a thumping!!!!! i'd take over when he got tired.

at any point would it ever register in your minds that maybe the dog on the bottom bit of more than it could chew? just because when you get there one is on top of the other, doesnt mean they started it and doesnt mean it wasnt warranted. some of yalls logic is just unbelievable?

I would venture to say alot of innocent dogs are ruined in hunts hunting with ill natured dogs. A level headed dog will only take so much. It will either fight back or leave the tree. I would just soon mine left the tree and never hunt with that dog again.

exactly i dare j.hill or anyone else for that matter to walk in and start thumpin my dog i wouldnt do it to no one elses and no one else better do it to mine but i would do it to my own if your kid mouthed off to me i wouldnt slap him but would expect you to discuss it with them same goes for a dog

I'd have to say if my dog don't start it and I know he doesn't then he should defend himself. I aint gonna hunt a dog that leaves the tree. I've been in a few hunts this year and in two casts I was in Fri. and Sat. 2 weeks ago, I and two other guy's dogs got scratched Fri. Then Sat. at a RQE three big males got in a full blown fight and luckley, I was hunting a bitch that stayed treed. That was six dogs in two hunts scratched in one weekend. This has been the worst year I've seen for grouchy dogs. Also no one ever beats another mans dog unless told to do so. That might cause more than one fight and it is disrespectful.
