The last I herd he is in pretty poor health but still alive.
Joe House
I am not sure either and I started not to post this question for THAT reason but I promised someone I would try and find out for them.
So I guess I will ask again and maybe pray while asking. Does ANYONE have contact information for Joe House of Kentucky or does anyone know if Mr. House has left the building?
I see James Merchant and John Monroe are still active so here's hoping Mr. House is also.

Joe House and House's Queen Picture
Thank you to everyone that responded to this online and offline.
Two more questions.
Does anyone have an old picture of House's Queen from some of the old magazines that they could scan and post here? I am sure a lot of people would like to see what she looked like.
I have someone wanting some heavy bred House bred dogs. He was hoping to buy something from Mr. House. If you have good stock heavy in the House strain if you will either send me your contact info or post it here, I will make sure he gets the information.
It is good to see after being away from the sport for 20 years that our coonhunting brothers and sisters are still a very helpful group.

Mr. Abshire,
Could you post a couple of your dogs pedigrees here. There is a lot of interest in the House line of hounds. Thank You

Joe House
taught me as much or more about coonhounds than any one person I have been associated with. If there is ever a legend in this sport, Joe is the man.
I asked Joe a dumb question many years ago. I asked him why he sold that dog. He replied, "Son, they are born to sell, and one is born every day". Joe, thanks for crossing Clint on Queen Lou.
