We are going to have a picture contest......here is how it works.

Each month, we will be picking a dog of the month from pictures submitted by members of the coonden.com. At the end of the year...we will choose a picture of the year. The monthly winners will receive a prize that is yet to be announced, but the winner of the year will receive a framed and matted drawing of the picture as submitted, and other prizes as we go further into the year.

Here is how it will work.

1. You may enter any breed of dog
2. Please only one submission per member each month.
3. Post your picture in the message forum, in the subject that will be created especially for the contest.
4. Make sure that you state the breed of dog, the age of the dog, and who owns the dog.
5. Pictures may be taken both day or night....this contest is a TREE DOG contest, so dogs should be at a tree or "up on the wood".
6. If you have trouble posting your pictures, please let one of the coonden.com staff know, and we will make sure that you can get your picture posted.
7. Pictures should be submitted from the first day of the month and the contest will end each month on the last day of the month.
8. There will be a poll posted on the web site for coonden.com members to vote for each months winner.
9. Only coonden.com members may submit pictures, and only coonden.com members will be allowed to vote. If your not a member of coonden.com, and would like to participate, sign up for this site...it's free!

Winning dogs from each month will be spotlighted on the home page of the coonden.com, and we will have a year end poll for the tree dog picture of the year.

We will also be starting a "Stacked" Photo Contest as soon as we get all the details worked out and put onto the site.

This will be an online "Bench Show" so to speak.

This has nothing to do the with contest but, I can't Login!
I just registered tonight and I got the e-mails saying Welcome, but once I type in my Username and Password it comes up and says "You are not authorized to view this page"

Any ideas of what's wrong?

i havent been able to get in for over a month.
when i was able to get in it was so slow that id fall asleep waiting for things to open up.
it may be my pc, but i dont have any trouble with other sites,so im not sure where the problem is.

Laura,

It's your browser (Internet Explorer) that is causing the problem. If you get the "not authorized to view this page" error", and you are logged in....simply refresh the page.

You can do this several ways. Hit F5 key, the CTRL and F5 at the same time, or click on the refresh icon.

This should take care of you. Better yet...ditch IE and download Firefox browser...you won't be sorry.

Try logging in to the home page instead of the forum.....

There is much more to this site than a forum.....

Once you log in at the home page, choose forum from the menu....you are already logged into the forum once you log in on the home page...no need to do so more than once.

Justin,

That's not entirely true.

If you have an older version of Internet Explorer...then it will be slow, and some of the pages may not display correctly. The code used to write the page is not "backwards compatible"

If you are using IE 5 or 6....you are at risk from internet "snoopers'.....time to upgrade and you should be cool

Not sure what kind of troubles you are having, but I've made some changes in the past month....

I realize that it was slow for a while...that's why I made the changes.....

I'm running 7.0 and your site is working today. I wasn't saying IE can't run it I was just saying at the moment that is what it was saying. Nice site btw took alot of work! I really enjoy reading everyones hunting logs.

Jarrod, The Log In is on the far right of the Home Page. You might have to scroll over to see it, at least I have to.
