It sure seems to be closing, the website has almost nothing on it and it appears they are liquidating their supplies. Not to spread rumors, but it sure seems likely.

Website looked pretty bare to me too.......maybe he is retiring.
i thought that his daughter had taken over the company/store and he retired. thats what i was told about a year ago.

I thought the same he didn't have much if anything to do with the day to day of store.
I went to the wbsite thinking they might have some equipment discounted but it doesn't look that way. Same retail prices as always.
What is there web address?

Just called and yes they are early next year so get your supplies while you can especially if you are a fan of the frog legs; my favorite chap; Good Luck to them in what ever they pursue. And thanks for all they have done for the coon hunting world.
Darn! I've been thinking of getting a pair of those nylon bibs. Guess I'd better go on and do it.

that sucks!!!!!!!!!!!! It is the only place around here to get supplies. Good ones at that. They will be greatly missed. Thanks to the Wick Family for all they do and have done over the years.
I know a guy that called and tried to buy the business several days ago, he was told they wouldn't or couldn't sell it, so they are just closing it down.

I sent a email to Wicks to see what they had to say about the closing and Monica Taylor emailed me back and here is what she said:
"Yes, the business is closing early next year. We don't have an exact closing date - just when we don't have enough orders to keep the girls sewing, which we expect to be late January or early February as it slows down a lot around then."
So I guess it is true, How long have they been in business?

this blows. mostly all my hunting clothes/gear came from wicks. we are talking alot of dollars and only because of his quality and service. the only other company i trust doing buisness with is regy ramsey.
Wicks closing Im afraid is going to be the norm!! When he started sewing chaps onto boots he was the only one doing this but with any buisness now any idea you may have will be copied a hundred times over..I have been in the supply buisness for twenty plus years and loyalty to dealers is a thing of the past..With the advent of the internet there is becoming little need to have people selling your products then your product doesnt become represented at all the major events then as a hunter you show up and buy whatever is available that is made out of nylon..I remember when there were about three or four major feed companys but take a look around now and count the brands that you can purchase somebody will be nudged out or everyone will eventually lose out..This is not the only buisness this is happening in but it looks like the wave of the future and as a individual you will have to make a decision who you support and who survives...I wish good luck to the wicks and their employees !!

If we don;t want them to close maybe we need to start spending more money with them. That would keep the doors open. There are to many supply dealers someone has to fold.
when i called them today. it sounded like it didnt matter if he made 100grand in the hext week he was still going to close down.. i tried to order some bibs and they didnt have any left in my size.
John Wick hasn't had ownership in the business for several years. Former wife Linda and daughter Monica have run the business for years and its their decision to close, not John's.
