Lost Bluetick Pup Mt Sterling, Ky (1 year later)

Lost my 5 mo old Bluetick Pup on the east side of town if anyone sees him please phone 859-404-1029 Thanks, John.

Once long Lost for 3 weeks, Jimbo one year later now would only run to load in the dog box if I opened his kennel door (I cant do that becuse of traffic though), he has been hunted 83 nights and has been under coon(s) 41 of those nights. He is 17 months old now and has been entered in 4 Bench shows and has 95 pts by winning 2 BOS and C/B, we tried to finish him at AO but he did'nt win. He has been in 2 UKC hunts with his best performance @ AO with 175+ and 300 circle but no cast win, yet, he weighs 80 pounds and is super athletic, he is close range alone right now but will run a track with or without another dog all the way to the tree, where he wolfman locates and rolls to a 90 bpm CHOP, I cant post pics, but, maybe my friend Chawn would be so kind to post one I have emailed to her. Thanks to all that were concerned for the big blue fog dogs welfare. later, John.

WIll help look

as much as I can from afar! Be sure to use petfinder.com to search. They have a few options for you to search by Breed or local shelters. If you search breeds check ALL breeds they could MISTAKE the pup for. With that head I'd be sure to search Bassetts,Bloodhounds as well as other types of hounds. Also ANY BLUE colored dogs. The shelters are pretty bad at IDing breeds.
ALso call ALL shelters nearby then GO LOOK at what they have in. Bring PIX with you to post there etc... again they may have breed, age and even sex wrong.
I will keep looking in petfinder as well. There are listings for FOund pets but those have no pix.
I hope he comes home VERY quickly. I have followed this litters' progress. They are beautiful. He should be home with YOU!
Best of luck, thoughts and prayers for SAFE return, Heather

Hey, I really hope you find your pup. I know how it feels to have one lost. If I were closer, I'd get my light and leash and help you look. Good luck finding him. He sure is cute.

If we see anything down around Nicholasville we'll let you know!! Good luck in finding him! Been there, done that! Hopes your situation turns out better then mine did...!!

Still looking!

I will be @ work till 2am and then go look again, he is only lost until he is found! I got a glimpse of a critter last night (0215 this morning) that had a white body and a black tail then it disappeared, I think it was the biggest cat I have ever seen, but things can look different in the headlights, so today I moved his airline crate with food and water to that patch of woods and am hoping for the best but prepared for the worst! Thanks to all, John.

John, I sure hope that was Jimbo you saw! It would be a big relief to know he's still staying in the area.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers!!! Please keep it up and I hope we have a happy ending soon.

Nothing yet!

No sightings, no calls, the message is getting out by radio now and our local paper tomorrow, nothing has touched the food in his crate, but I ai'nt given up! Hunted Red and Lite'nin after work, treed one then went back to searching well into daylight, he may have moved, hopefully on his own, keep your hopes up, John.

John,
Chawn asked me to post any help i could offer after having lost my adonis for 5 weeks earlier this year. Someone posted a site on the internet about making signs for lost dogs, & i made some very similar. I got so many calls from these signs.

I made them from neon orange poster board, cut to fit into gallon size ziploc bags. right in the center of each i glued a color photo (i printed out bunches at the photo center at the local drugstore). with a large permanent marker, i wrote REWARD at the top, between that & the photo, i wrote his name.
under the photo i put my name & phone numbers, and at the bottom LOST DOG. then i used short fat nails & nailed them to stop signs & such. these signs were visible from a quarter mile. & the ziploc bags insured they were still legible even after bad weather. take the time to make LARGE, HIGHLY VISIBLE WATER PROOF SIGNS WITH A COLOR PHOTO -IT REALLY HELPLS GET MORE RESPONSE!!
i know its hard to give up time looking, but the better the signs, the more people see them.

post them everywhere around where he was lost, & move outwards.

i also got a lot of calls from putting an ad in the local papers lost & found, & even paid extra to put a photo in.

none of the calls ended up being adonis, when he was finally found after 5 weeks, he was in the oppsosite direction. :-)
but i did get to talk to a lot of nice people, all who wanted to help me get my guy home.

GOOD LUCK & try not to give up hope. i had just about done so, when I got the call that i knew he was safe & coming back to me.

Im not sure how the dog got lost but I know when we have lost a dog we will put out one of our coats in the general area that we think he is located and it never fails the dog is curled up on the coat the next morning. Might be worth a try.

Good luck finding your pup. He is an amazing looking dog, what is he out of?
