big blue male

I was just wanting to see what you all thought of my 9 month old male. I have been considering putting him on the bench but don't know that much about it and was wanting some guidance on the subject. Tell me if you all think he can make the cut or isn't worth the time and money. Thanks.

Thanks, I need to work with him a little more so he looks more comfortable. I believe he is put together well. I am not quite sure how tall he is at the shoulders but know he is a big dog or should I say pup. Who knows, I am going to try him at a couple of local clubs and see how I do.

Hey, I was wondering what is your male bred like? He looks like a big male that we have. almost look alike..
Same front end of what I can see, we have done well with ours.. he has got two King of Shows through BBOA. Greenville and Meadville PA.. If I could get some pics I would show you.
He is surely a nice lookin dog.. I think you will do real well with him.

He is Hammer bred top and bottom. He's a grandson to Hammer XVII. I hope to put him in a bench competition next weekend. I will let you all know how it fairs.

ah, lori, those sectionals were in greenville,pa. in march and middlefield, oh. in july.
the big male that milarkenkennels in referring to is our sam. aka Ch, Milarken's Knight Ryder. sam is spanky and smokey river bred.
i don't have a pic of sam that i can post. but he and your male could almost be twins. in fact your male looks more like sam than his littermate shi does. lol

I know of some of some guys that bought a female from the upper part of Pennsylvania. Their names are Sherman and Adam. The female they bought was close to or was show champion.
The resemblance is uncanny. Does your males solid shoulder go clear around or not? Mine can look like two different dogs. He is opens spotted on the other side. I hope I can do something with him and plan on putting him on the bench for the first time this weekend. I think if I keep working him he can only get better with time and age.

Sherman and Adam are the guys, that bought the Lucy aka Mira female from us. She was a show champion I dont know if they shown her or not..

My male shoulder the black goes clear around.. I would like to see the other side of your male.. He does look real nice.

Yeah, I still have the big boy. He is a show champion now but I have never entered him into a nite hunt. He is a decent hound just has a super cold nose. Sometimes it would get him into trouble but overall a good dog. Let me know how she turns out and if you breed her I would be interested in getting a pup. I was suppose to get a pup or $50 and never seen either. But that's another story. Good luck and hope she turns out. If you get a picture I would like to see her. Pm me if you want and I will give you my e-mail addrress.

TOOK "GATEWOODS NORTHERN OUTLAW LADY" (YUR PUP), OUT A FEW NIGHTS AGO. TOOK HER OUT WITH "HORSE", WOODY GALLOWAY & HIS "MARK S" DOG, HOYT MARTIN & HIS "DUKE" DOG (BIG MALE PUP OUT OF "HORSE"). WE HAD A PURDY DARN GOOD TIME. "LADY" WENT OUT GOOD, OPENED A FEW TIMES, BUT I THINK SHE WAS JUST LOST / DAZED / AND CONFUSED. MIGHT HAVE BEEN THAT FLASHING RED LIGHT I PUT ON HER TRACKING COLLAR. THE FELLOW I GOT HER FROM SAID HE HADN'T SHOWN HER MUCH (THINK NOTHING). HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE CATCHING HER, DIDN'T WANT TO COME IN, BUT ALL IN ALL SHE "DID GOOD" FOR HER 1ST TIME OUT. HAVE SHOWN HER A COUPLE OF CAGED COON. SHE SHOWS A LOT OF INTEREST IN THEM, AND LETS THEM KNOW IT. SHE JUST HASN'T GOTTEN THE NERVE TO TEAR AT THE CAGE YET.

I AM REAL TICKLED WITH HER ! IT WILL ALL COME TOGETHER FOR HER. SHE HAS ALL THE MAKINGS, AND SHOWS GOOD INSTNCT, WITH A GREAT PERSONALITY. I DON'T RUSH THEM, OR GET IN A HURRY. JUST THOUGHT I'D LET YOU KNOW. HAVEN'T TAKEN THE PICTURE YET. WILL POST WHEN I DO.

Good looking hound. Looks like her daddy in the head. I really think these dogs could compete in the National Level. Huckleberry has only gotten prettier with age. Don't give up on her on her training. Huck didn't take off until he was around 15 months old but never looked back. Keep my contact information with you and keep me up to date and if and when you find a good stud and breed her I would be interested in a male puppy. Thanks for the picture.

That picture does NOT do him justice... seeing him in "real life" and knowing what a good dog he is as far as personality too is SO much better than just seeing a picture! Bob and fell in love with this big old dawg at AO one year. Kinda fond of his owners too

I imagine Lady must be pretty nice for Charles to have fallen for her.... should be an Interesting cross!
