Ya know thats gotta hurt!!!

Right now some bowhunter is laying in bed crying over that one getting away.

Fake

I say fake looking at the angle of the arrow in two different pics.

Posted by Bruce Conkey on 10-02-2006 02:10 AM:

I don't see anything fake about the picture. It was taken with a trail camera. Notice how he is holding his front leg in both pictures.

I figure its some fancy photo work to get the PETA folks in a frenzy about the cruelty of hunting. Amy

From the angle of the arrow and the lack of penatration,Id say real. The arrow is high with a very sharp forward angle.Very likely no vitals were hit.

Huntwalkers, the angle of the arrow doesnt change from pic to pic,its the angle of the deer that does. That gives the apperance of a different arrow angle.

id say real and some Bowhunter is not crying he probally killed himself for missing one like that lol i know i would

I would say its real. Hi placement means no lungs were hit or anything.. Also looks like it a small carbon arrow. Maybe the bow had an over draw or it was a cross bow. Probly hit a big rib bone and came to a real quick stop. Therefor no pass threw. From what I can see of the wound in the second pic. He was already full of infection. The date being last dec. means someone will find whats left of a real nice buck.

Posted by rajunrebelblues on 10-02-2006 03:33 AM:

i think its real because in the second pic you can see a faint trace of steam otu of his nose

I would say there is a good 4-5 inches of arrow in him and at that angle I don't see him pulling it out I would venture to say that if the broadhead doesn't strike a vital while he is walking, running, hitting trees,etc... then he will eventually die of an infection.

Posted by Sambo on 10-02-2006 04:09 AM:

I will say real looks like somebody just got the fever and made a real bad shot

Posted by 870Wingman on 10-02-2006 05:13 AM:

Looks like a crossbow shot to me also. Looks to like the front left leg has a curl to it. Bet he hops on that right one. Maybe hit a nerve or something. Nice corn pile. Looks real.

The rabbitt has its head in two different positions. One picture it is chewing, the other it is picking up a kernel of corn. It looks infected around the arrow. I guess real.

Pic

If I made that bad a shot, I certainly wouldn't post it!

I think it's fake! If I made such a bad shot, I'd shoot again, instead of pulling out a camera to show how bad a shot I was!!!

Posted by Team Tator on 10-02-2006 06:23 AM:

I believe

There is a taxidermist near me that i go to has a nice buck on the wall that he harvested with a firearm that has a broadhead in its head just above it's left eye the blades of the broadhead are not solid and he said the bone had healed itself in through the blades. I will try and get a pic the next time i'm out there.

??????????????????????????????

I dont think the one who made that shot took the pic. Looks like a trail cam overlooking a feed pile.

At any rate, its dark in the pic. Probly not a good time to be bow hunting.

I took a rifle shot at running deer last year, and couldnt believe I missed it. A week later, I took another shot at a nice buck and drilled him. As I was field dressing him, I noticed the 3 foot creese from just behind his ribs to right between his horns. I had cut just along the skin and a little meat in a few places. I think he bobbed when I weaved. Same deer I had shot the week before.

I really think that should be taken down. Some tree hugger is going to find that and use it some stupid ad. Lets not help them in any way.

First off, that's a bad picture to be posting. Second, the deer is definitely real. "Fake" deer's eye's don't reflect light, or lick their nose. Only thing that could be fake is if the arrow was edited in. Who in their right mind would want to do that?

maybe you were joking....not for sure.....but, at any rate, i would say real.....and if you notice there isnt any blood and the shot was probably made days before.....and probably not taken at night...lol.....he will make a nice skull mount for somebody....i have made my share of bad shots....he/she wasnt that far off considering the angle....looks like just a little bad luck

looks like alot of game using that area ( thats what it looks like to me )....alot of footprints in the snow....unless that deer had been doing donuts...lol

I think the pic is real.Had this happen to a friend a few years back.He shot a small buck with a muzzeloader high and back,no vitals. The next evening the buck came by me picking through the woods and I saw the hole in him and the dried blood on his hide, honestly.I took a shot and missed .So I reckon he's still walking around.

Posted by on 10-02-2006 03:26 PM:

I wasn't saying the deer isn't real but I still think the arrow is edited in.
