Hunter dies of heart-attack

A friend and coon hunter died of heart-attack Saturday night while at a hunt in ohio.Gene lambert was on a hunt with Randy Jack Blankenship .They went to the dogs and left him at a gate about 100 yd. from the dogs and when they got back they found him.Please pray for his family.

I was at the hunt that this took place. Which one was it that died? Our club needs to do something for the family.

Gene Lambert.Not sure but I think he lived in West Va. Originally from Narrows Va.

Thanks Jim,he was onely 45 yr. old and his dad just had a stroke about a month ago and is not abel to get out by his self and is taking it real hard.

BALLARD — Jesse Eugene Lambert Jr., 45, of Ballard, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio.

Born Sept. 8, 1960 in Virginia, he was the son of Jesse Eugene Lambert Sr. of Narrows, Va. and Phyllis Dalton Rhodes and her husband, Charles of Mooresville, N.C.

Mr. Lambert was employed by Celanese Acetate in Narrows, he was a member of the National Plott Hound Association, Princeton Moose Lodge, the Ballard Coon Hunters Club.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Sharon L. Lambert of Ballard; one son, Drannon Adkins of Ballard; one daughter, Cassie Adkins of Ballard; a granddaughter, Adyson Stafford of Lindside; one sister, Sheila Martin and husband Larry of Pearisburg, Va.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sidney and Bonnie Lilly of Ballard; one niece, April Conley of Narrows; special grand niece, Braylyn Minnick of Narrows; a sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Evangelist Tim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery on Wolf Creek near Narrows.

The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Sorry to hear of this. Gene was a great guy to be around. Most of the time if you saw Randy Jack, Gene was close buy. I never seen Gene at a hunt where he wasnt smiling and joking around. He will be truly missed.

I think that we should make the September 8th a benefit hunt. We could have an auction and try to get donations so that way we would have more time to get it together. That way we could raise more for the family.
